"Wir waren schon seit stunden dabei ein hotel zu suchen und fragten so ziehmlich alle hotels in Cuxhaven an. Alle waren sehr freundlich aber wiesen uns darauf hin das an einen freitag alles ausgebucht sei. Als wir im Fischhus anfragten wurden wir zuerst ignoriert. Als man und dann doch noch "bemerkte", und wir fragten ob sie noch ein Zimmer hätten, antwortete die hochnäsige Dame die ziehmlich gelangweilt schien, "nö". als ob es irgenwie völlig ligisch sei dass sie keine Zimmer mehr hatten. So eine unfreundliche behandlung habe ich noch nie erlebt."

"Wir sind durch ein Hinweisschild am Strand / Dünenweg in Cuxhaven-Sahlenburg auf das Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Die Nordheim-Terrassen liegen versteckt auf dem Geländes der Helios Klinik in Sahlenburg nicht weit vom Strand entfernt, ca 50 Meter durch den Wald. Der erste Eindruck ist rusitikal, man sitzt auf der Terrasse vor dem Haus, sehr ruhig im Grünen. Der Service war promt und schnell. Das wichtige "die Küche". Hier findet man leckeres norddeutsch maritimes Essen. Viel Fisch steht auf der Karte. Besonders lecker sind u.a. die Bratkartoffeln, die selbsteingelegten Bratheringe, die Fischplatte für 2. Die Fleischgerichte haben wir nicht probiert. Es gibt am Mittag auch einige Gerichte günstiger inkl. Dessert. Uns hat es gut gefallen. Wir würden wiederkommen. Schade das es so versteckt liegt."

"We are cuxhavener, who has sent his guests to this restaurant in recent years as recommended until several of our guests have increasingly expressed themselves about the food quality negatiw. we tested it again - and? it is really not recommended anymore. the fish plate has only low quality fish varieties on it for its price. that's not how it works!"

"We were invited for lunch by regular diners of this place, who claimed that the restaurant has the best fish dishes in town. Their claim was not far from truth. I truly enjoyed my choice which was Schollen filets stuffed with smoked salmon and north sea shrimps. The Schollen was fresh and tasty. I didn't even need any salt, pepper or sauce to have it with. The portion size was generous two big filets, one big slice of smoked salmon, a spoonful of shrimps , accompanied by long grain wild rice (or you can ask for fried potatoes the german way or French fries and dill sauce. The dish is certainly value for money (16€ . Services were excellent fast, friendly, efficient. The interior is cosy and airy. Next to the restaurant is a fish shop where it certainly smells fishy but the restaurant does not have such a smell which is a plus side. I can certainly recommend this restaurant to visitors of Cuxhaven if they want to enjoy real fresh fish dishes. The menu for fish choices is large including salmon, cod, Rotbarsch, Limandes, Seelachs, Zander (sorry, I don't know English names of some of these fish . There also serve à la carte breakfast at reasonable prices between 4 6€ (higher for the choices with shrimps or multiple selection which includes rolls, butter, jam, smoked salmon, boiled egg, cheeses, scrambled eggs, North Sea shrimps, coffee or tea. I will certainly go back there."
