"We live in Vienna but I only learned about this heuriger recently from a friend who lives in the neighborhood nearby. I went tonight with a small group and we enjoyed the experience very much. I was a bit out off at first when they...did not appear to have my reservation, which I had made by email a week earlier and to which I received a confirmation email. But they found a table for my group in a charming non-smoking room and we enjoyed the delicious wines and food. The buffet was very nicely done, with lots of vegetarian options for the two in my group who do not eat meat. The knodel with egg was delicious, as were the many salads. Standouts included the cucumber salad with dill and the potato salad with pumpkin seed oil. There were also some yummy looking vegetarian pasta dishes alongside traditional ones like schinkenfleckerl. There was a nice selection of meats including a very tasty roast beef which I should have taken more of. Also the bread was very fresh. We enjoyed an assortment of desserts including a sour cherry torte, an apricot cake, a raspberry cake with meringue, and a delicious chocolate covered tart-like thing. A party of older locals was leaving as we were getting ready to eat them and marveled at the selection. Their smiling faces and happy gestures let us know we'd made good selections. It was a chilly night so we didn't sit in the garden but we peeked at it briefly and it was very atmospheric and lovely. Hope to return one more time this season to enjoy it again."

"Da die junge Wirtin einige Jahre in Spanien verbracht hat, gibt es auch eine spanische Komponente in Form "österreichischer Tapas" auf der Speisekarte. Diese Miniportionen, die in ganz Spanien zu finden und immer von der jeweiligen Region beeinflusst sind , lassen sich auch gut aus Spezialitäten der Österreichischen Küche zaubern.Klassiker wie Vogerlsalat mit steirischem Kürbiskernöl und gebackenen Erdäpfelstangerln, Blunznstrudel auf warmen Speckkrautsalat, MiniGulasch mit Jourgebäck, knusprig gebackene Hendlflügerl mit Dip, Dukatenschnitzerl vom Schweinsmedaillon auf Erdäpfelsalat, Grammelknöderl auf Sauerkraut, Fleischlaberl mit Kartoffelsalat, Fleischspießchen auf Salat mit Ananans-Curry Chutney, hausgemachte Kasnudel, Kartoffelpuffer mit Blattspinat und Schafkäse überbacken, Karpfensticks in Mohnpanade auf Erdäpfelsalat. Mohn mit Karpfen ist zwar ungewöhnlich, schmeckte aber ganz köstlich. Auch der Kartoffelpuffer, das Schnitzerl und das Gulasch waren sehr gut. Das alles gibt es natürlich auch in Normalportionen. Außerdem können sie auch als kleine Vorspeise genossen werden. Eine ausgezeichnete Bereicherung der Karte, die nach Saison variiert. Neben Speisen aus der klassisch österreichischen Küche, gibt es auch Vollkorn- und vegetarische Gerichte.Darüber hinaus gibt es je nach Saison Feines vom Wild, Fleisch, Gemüsen...., und nach Möglichkeit aus der Region.Besonderes Augenmerk wird auf alle möglichen Innereien gelegt und auch gekonnt umgesetzt.Sehr gut sind die täglichen Mittagsmenü, vor allem der freitägliche Fisch hat es mir angetan.Auch der in den Wintermonaten angebotene "Sonntagsbraten", zuletzt war es Lamm, am Sonntag vorher war es Kalbsbraten, ist eine köstliche Alternative zur Speisekarte. Im Wintergarten wird mit Stoffservietten, Brot und diversen Aufstrichen, gedeckt. In der Gaststube geht es etwas schlichter zu, es darf auch noch geraucht werden. Auch ein Stüberl findet sich, mit rauchfreier Luft für den schnellen Imbiß. Der Gastgarten, klassisch mit Kastanienbaum, ist im Sommer eine angenehme Alternative.Das Personal ist liebenswürdig, auch bei der Weinauswahl wird man sehr gut beraten."

"We found this place by chance from Tram-Terminus in Stammersdorf. It is family business and our host was the owner and winemaker. The service was excellent and we chose from the counter, chicken with a mixture of potatoes, potato salad and sauerkraut. I had also washed bread and local smoked cheese with excellent house wine. We shared a large piece of cake with fruit and cream. For 3 of us the accounts came to 36 euros! The whole experience was a joy."
