"Ich gehe sporadisch seit ca 20 Jahren da hin, heute anlässlich meines 6 jährigen Hochzeitstages. Wer Old style mag ist genau richtig! Die Küche schwankt zwischen 1 und 2, der Service ebenfalls. Der Chef ist eine Institution! Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen, das Essen schmeckt wunderbar, ist aber preislich an der oberen Grenze. Egal, lasst es krachen! Auch die Etikette ist nur Nebensächlich, ihr müsst es genießen, lebt euren eigenen Stil! Lasst euch von dem Schnickschnack nichts vormachen, einfach genießen und mit dem Leckeren Brot die Soße tunken. Die selbstgemachten Pralinen schmecken herrlich zum Espresso mit Calvados. "I'm surprised that the reviews for this place aren't higher! Came with a group a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday night for dinner based on a local's recommendation, and we were not disappointed. There was no wait, the atmosphere was casual but moderately upscale, and the food was very good, authentic Bavarian food. I got the white fish with the potato salad. Loved the potato salad with the subtle acidity. The fish was good as well delicate and lightly fried, but I did get some overly salty bites. My boyfriend ordered the beef schnitzel with spaetzle and was raving over how good it was... he says it was his favorite meal in Germany. The spaetzle was so creamy, decadent, and delicious that everyone at our table was stealing bites of it from his plate. We ordered the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert (think an eggy, cut up pancake with raisins and powdered sugar), which was also good. I also loved their beer, the Franziskaner Weissbier Naturtrub. Solid choice if you are in the area!"
