"If you happen to walk along Landungsbrücken and the charming port area of Hamburg which overlooks the River Elbe, you 'd better take your customs elsewhere. Unless, of course, you enjoy parting way with a load of money in return for one of the sloppiest and unfriendliest services ever known to man. To start with, you walk in and you 're made to feel like you 've just landed on the setting of The Wicker Man or any kind of 1970s horror, given the frowning looks of suspicion the staff will give you as you walk through the door, no matter how much smiling and greeting you offer. And that 's after they acknoweledge you, which, mark my words, may actually take a while even though they have clocked that you 're there quite a few times. It really it 's as if the most basic concepts of customer service (or shall I say manners , actually) had never entered the staff 's minds at Störtebeker. I 'm actually starting to think that if you have to wait any longer than a minute to receive a good evening or even a simple nod as you walk into a restaurant, you 're probably in for a disappointing night service-wise. On the night we were there, I was actually wondering if the restaurant owners were actually running an exercise in how to make sure that people won 't come back. You won 't know the meanng of being made to feel ill at ease until you sample the ignorance, coldness and aloofness on display at Störtebeker. The service consists in wacking your dishes on the table when they 're ready and that 's it. You won 't see the waiters again. They won 't check if you need anything, bread, condiments, drinks, you name it. Even when you ask for the bill at the end, you 're made to feel like you 're inconveniencing them like nothing else. Which begs the next point, the food. I 'm all up for spartan food and no frills (read my other reviews if you have nothing better to do). But this takes the biscuit, especially given the prices they charge. €25 Euros, for instance, for something marketed as Large assortment of grilled North Sea fish , which will consist of three pieces of fish, a leaf of lettuce, three or four rickety pieces of boiled potatoes and a knob of butter the size of a baked bean. No dips, no sauces, no bread, no nothing. And thank god I ordered it just for myself, because when people read words like large platter or large assortment (especially when it 's priced at €25) they often order it for sharing, My partner ordered Baked Potato with Salmon salad . For the price of €8-10, it consisted of a barely warm baked potato served with a salmon mousse slapped next to it and a sprinkle of parsley. And that 's it. It would have been expensive if it had been half the price. Needless to say, we refrained from ordering desserts as -coming at 5 quid a piece- they were probably going to be the size of button mushroom. And in any case, even if we 'd wanted to, it 's not as if the staff were at hand to make eye contact or ask for any help. You will be amazed by how slippery, literally, the staff are. We have now learnt that the so-called Hafen area of Hamburg (Landungsbrücken, St. Pauli, Altona etc) is brimming with restaurants and especially fish ones. Next time we won 't inconvenience the people at Störtebeker by spending €50 at their place. We 'll simply try somewhere else. Unless you fancy having your evening ruined, you 'd better do the same, and that 's my heartfelt recommendation."

"Lütt fridas is a nicely furnished shop that is run by a nice couple. he cooks - very tasty - and she takes care of the guests. There is a weekly map and classics like the citizen (lecker) are also available. the food has always been great and the service is also always super with young. there is also a lunch table that often sounds good, but I could not yet perceive.Clare recommended to eat or even simply on a few beer or wine."

"There is more than one restaurant called humboldt in hamburg, which is located near the shopping center tibarg in niendorf market. living alone in niendorf on weekdays I go a few times in the month after humboldt. the place is quite busy in most nights, but not so busy that you don't get a place. they make a selection of typical German foods to appropriate trips. carving and fries come in around euro, and the fries are crispy and crispy, instead of the matchsticks so many restaurants serve. no German bar would be complete without beer, and humboldt has a selection on hahn. the staff and the guests are all friendly. as the spring comes, tables appear outside, so I think this is a more pleasant place to be on a summer evening. humboldt will continue to be one of my regular hunting as long as I work in hamburg."

Thanks to its selection of typical, tasty meals at typically affordable prices, this small yet fine Bistro not only excites with its ambiance, You shouldn't miss the opportunity to try the crispy and crunchy pizza, baked straight out of the oven in an original manner.

"Very tasty and cozy fish restaurant in Hamburg. Beautiful covered terasse overlooking the Elbe. Very friendly and amusing service! The fish plate was worth it. Great portions at fair prices, good price! We'll be back soon!"
