"Came here once for breakfast once for dinner while in the Gold Coast. For breakfast I got the 'pitaya smoothie bowl ' and the presentation was amazing perfect for photos. It also tasted really fresh fruity. For dinner I got the 'crispy chicken burger ' which was alright and then for dessert we got the 'apple pie fries ' the 'rich chocolate brownie ' which were the highlights of our meal. My family and I loved the desserts, they tasted so good. Recommend going here for breakfast for sure and dinner is alright but not amazing."

"Fish Rice was the next stop on my Sushi Tour from PDX with my people. Every few weeks we try a new sushi spot in PDX to enjoy the restaurant on this delicious cuisine. I generally order a day in advance to return to my people. Service here is excellent. The order on the phone was a breeze and the person who took my order was very helpful in deciding what to get. The shop is more designed like a cafe than a traditional sushi restaurant. It definitely has a funny living PDX vibe. In NW PDX parking, there can be a bit of a challenge here, as there are no easily accessible street parking nearby. There is a parking lot over the street, but I don't think the facility counts as part of the shopping center. I parked there anyway and had no problems. Even though the place may not allow a traditional Japanese sushi shop or Izakaya to fool you. Your sushi is top-notch. The fish was fresh and tasteful. Their roles were also imaginative and tasty. The prices were also decent. I would definitely recommend checking Fish Rice if you ever did in the NW 23rd range. It is worth stopping when you have eaten some sushi or poke!"

"Tried the boba tea a couple times, tapioca pearls are out of date, hard to chew and shriveled. They also dump some of the syrup that the tapioca comes in into the tea, it's kinda gross. They also ask if you want whipped cream on it traditional boba tea does not have whipped cream. May just be inexperienced with making bubble tea overall. Tried another drink which was a frozen mocha and it tasted like sugar/plain vanilla. Definitely was not a dark chocolate mocha flavor and was almost white in color. Staff was pretty nice though."

"We reserved online with Open Table Beware, the restaurant will likely NOT honour bookings made here. On arrival we were told that despite booking and confirming on OT, we were outside of their allowable booking deadline of noon and we were subsequently shamed for not knowing this was a policy (stated nowhere on Open Table not on their website . We were told “if you’re lucky we might have a table within and hour but once you get seated it will be a minimum of 50 mins for food”. After stating our displeasure the hostess offered for us to wait at the bar and the first round of drinks was on the house. Okay... so three people in our group of six tried to order cocktails and were abruptly told off by the bartender that those didn’t qualify for “free” drinks, and we were charged full price. (The other three were minors and ordering soda water so the math should have evened out! . We were eventually seated at a makeshift table on the side of a walkway. We tried to order two dishes on the menu and were told that they’d run out (the cheese plate being one of the items so some people just settled for second or third choice items. We ordered... then... never saw our server again. My husband eventually ordered another round of drinks at the bar and a side of chips which came within 5 mins. Meanwhile our dinner order took 90 minutes to arrive and even then, items were missing. After asking a random staff member to check, we eventually received the missing dishes. Overall this was a horrible experience and I’d recommend you avoid this spot at all costs. No one seems to give a whit at this disjointed, horrible “establishment”. You’ll regret your choice."

"I absolutely love Islands Cafe! The atmosphere and vibe takes me straight to Hawaii. There is plenty of seating and they are always playing fun music. Their coffee is amazing, directly imported in from Hawaii. I love that they have live music nights and offer an array of Hawaiian beers. If you are in the white rock area I highly suggest you check this place out!"

"My wife and I come to Indie Cafe on a fairly regular basis, a few times a year for the last 6 or 7 years. It's our favorite restaurant for sushi because it has the right blend of quality preparation, fantastic atmosphere and friendly service. What was once a local secret has become very popular and it shows in the amount of activity you'll typically find there on a weekend evening. It's to their credit that the folks at Indie have managed to preserve the aforementioned characteristics that made us like them in the first place, even as their business has expanded."
