"Been here three times now and not been disappointed. I just had sheek kebab, chips, madras sauce nann on this occasion but it was all very tasty the service was prompt (but the place was empty). As usual two thirds of our bill was for wine/liqueurs but it was all very enjoyable."

"Side dishes coming up as individual courses. Flat onion barges swimming in oil, 3 pieces no salad, served with ketchup. Cauliflower served as fried in batter again came up as separate course when asked for it as a side dish, then finally our starter 3 samosas again no salad and served with ketchup. At this point we gave up and left. We were the only people there at 7.30 that should have given us a clue."

"Ok for a cheap meal with pals. Don’t notice if it’s licensed for alcohol. Food is ok , usual kebabs and lamb shank etc. nothing out of the ordinary. More of a takeaway kebab shop than a nice restaurant really. Went on a date but regretted it. As romantic as a public toilet! Clean , but Spartan. Waiters weren’t really waiters. More kebab shop servers ! No coffee. Can’t hate it but i wouldn’t recommend it for a date. Food was ok. You can’t do much wrong with a kebab and a can of coke , can you?!"

"We used to go to the shamrat a lot about 5 years ago,so what happened.the place was nearly empty on a Friday night.we actually had a nice meal and pleasent evening,but we did notice a lot of cut backs.no cloth napkins,smaller portions,dearer prices,a 4x3 wet wipe at the end of the meal and no drink on the house...it all adds up to poorer times....sad...use to be the place to eat in buckhurst hill..."

"It was my family’s first visit to the restaurant and after reading previous reviews I was a bit sceptical but the service was even better than the food. We ordered two large doners one chicken, one meat and one extra meat medium doner. The chicken was nice but the meats flavour was a bit strong not particularly my taste but my husband enjoyed it, the bulgar, rice and cacik were all tasty as well as the complimentary bread, tea and baklava. I would recommend buying medium as large and medium were nearly the same portion size. All the staff made sure we was comfortable and have everything we need. Ozan was quick to help when I informed him that the meat was not to my liking and kept both my girls entertained. He bought lollipops to the kids and and even did a cheeky magic trick. I would definitely be returning and Ozan even promised to do up the salad the way I want it next time with extra pomegranate dressing and some sumac! Lovely friendly staff, service and decent priced Turkish cuisine. Elek(I’m sorry if the name is wrong) was also very friendly and bubbly, she was smiley and polite."

"Great eating, was here a long time, naan is perfect and sultane taste great. would they say that the service is more on the slow side and it would be appreciated if the personal were a bit more sympathetic to the customers instead of acting them. but 5*."

"Since being introduced to this place by friends we have given up on the curry house near us and instead catch the 368 to this one. The food is standard curry house but it's served with care, the atmosphere is friendly and busy, and the staff really welcoming. Prices are fair too."
