"We go to untried restaurants with neighbors every few weeks and read good reviews about Darsalam. We loved it as soon as we walked into the cozy spot full of momentos and photographs ! of Iraq. My only quibble is the price, which was surprisingly high, but then I realized that we'd had a bottle of wine plus enough food for us to each take home practically another meal. We will go again for certain, but order less food. The kabobs were exceptional, as was the beet salad, but one was plenty to split 4 ways, and we ordered 2. Lovely staff, cozy spot and great food!"

"This is a lovely restaurant with friendly , helpful servers. The pompano fish looked and tasted fabulous! The yogurt dessert was one of the best I have ever had. I had an excellent gin gimlet, delicately flavored with cardamom. Highly recommended, especially if you are looking for something different"

"I stopped in here for lunch after seeing the rave reviews and they are perfectly accurate. I got the seafood kebabs and calamari appetizer and both were absolutely to die for. All of the seafood was cooked perfectly, very fresh, and seasoned exquisitely. The tartar sauce was an incredible flavor which I haven't ever had before and I'm hoping they will sell it in bottles so I can have it at home. The calamari appetizer was the most perfectly cooked fried calamari I've ever had. It melts in your mouth. The salad underneath it was also amazing and I found myself chomping on that even after I was full. Even the french fries were a step above what you would expect.Can not recommend enough, this place is quite likely the best seafood in Maine and I recommend you stop in and try them out if you're nearby."
