"The grills are great. They always fry fresh chips. The donner is correctly spiced. Has been a consistently good takeaway for many years."

"Our eating was not without openingle hiccups, but we were impressed by the quality of products and aromen. I can see that this is a really good place for a Sunday roast, a burger and biernacht or the complete Gastro-Blow-out 3-course dinner with wein."

"Couldn’t find a quick sit in place for a light snack and hot tea, so this place was the option. We wanted a chai. The service at the counter is efficient but the lady very cold and impersonal. Tables are not cleaned promptly, we had to ask for it and wait. The toilet had no paper, and doesn’t look to have been cleaned in ages. Yet, it is small and one single toilet could and should be kept clean! The full length mirror on the door is a total horror story. Chai is not great! Aloo Pharata Was good but really tiny. Ordered masala chips, it came dunked in ketchup gravy! Hub ordered a mango lassi, he got a rose flavour instead. It was pointless to ask to change given how badly it looks managed. Go to Greggs, you have better foods and service."

"Really great pizza at affordable prices. Don't give your money to Papa John's. Same quality and better value. The guys here are always friendly and it keeps me coming back. :"

"This family run curry café and kebab shop has a few tables and really really is worth a visit! Having lived in East London all my life I know just about every type of curry, originating from each and every corner of the globe and this place is fab! It is Pakistani, I am told but unlike the grills and pakoras Aqsa seems to specialise in more slowly cooked curries, family recipes. It's unlicensed and halal and I like the way their traditions are respected. They cook really tasty food and fresh dishes are prepared daily. Last time I had crisp onion and potato bhajis with salad to start and then Lamb curry, black chick pea curry and nan freshly baked to order in the tandoor. Even with a side veggie dish, bhindi I think and Keera (semolina) pudding and a drink the whole bill came to about a tenner! £10. That's 3 courses! Plus a drink! If you live nearby please go there and support this small family business. Say Peter, the psychotherapist, sent you and they will laugh and , who knows, maybe even give you a little extra! It I go there once a week for home-cooked traditiuon Pakistani dishes"
