"While it may not be for everyone, this smoking bar with an exceptionally delicious and especially thrifty menu that's short on options but big on authenticity was exactly what I was looking for after a long, hard day at work. The staff gets extra points for going out of their way to learn about their customers and their lives, rather than just serving them and forgetting them. Next time I'll repeat my order of a 6.25 Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a crock of Lobster Crab Bisque washed down with an affordable Pabst Blue Ribbon draft and a shot of one of my favorites: Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey!"

"Before I start my review, a comment to other customers, cut these guys some slack, they're understaffed and still absolutely killing it, unless you've worked in customer service and have dealt with severe understaffing, please try to be more understanding and considerate. They are people too. The only Friendly's I'll come to.The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Even when dealing with being severely understaffed, they keep a smile on their faces and do their best.I truly hope that their hard work and constant excellence in customer service is being recognized and rewarded. They deserve it!My boyfriend and I came here today and they only had one server, Anastasia, she was wonderful, despite being the only server. She was so pleasant. The hostess was awesome too. This place has a truly amazing team on hand. We kept seeing the hostess and kitchen crew come up front to help buss tables and help the server, awesome team work!We'll definitely be back. I hope they end up getting more staff for their own sake and sanity."

"Great family diner with great dessert and ice cream but place has an identity crisis. Can?t find any reason barbecue should be in the name. Having 5 sandwiches that you put bbq sauce on after cooked ain?t bbq so please call yourself Ritz diner and ice cream parlor because that?s what you are. Overall, food was pretty good for a diner"

"PEOPLE.... this was BBQ BEFORE it was BBQ. In ages past, people (in this case we mean the PA dutch) would extend large cuts of pork, turkies etc... by barbecuing them, which meant stewing them down in a mix of ketchup and vinegar and some mustard so they would keep. THAT is what BBQ really is, and that is what they serve here. It is not and has nothing to do with smokers and pits or brisket or pulled pork or any other modern connotation you think it is. So don 't attack them for not being BBQ, the problem is your lack of proper understanding. Everyone from this area over 50 knows when they were young and in school having cafeterias that served pork or turkey barbecue now and then, and THIS is what that was."

"They don't speak English here but to me that makes it more authentic. This Dominican cuisine is nothing like I'm used to and I have fallen in love with it. Right down the street from Reading Area Community College, I found this gem during the pandemic when I was looking around for some local restaurants to grab a quick lunch from. Their BBQ chicken and rice is a great combo, they don't skimp out either. I guarantee if you grab a meal from here you won't leave hungry. I appreciate the hoops they have jumped through in order to remain open during this time and they deserve support for serving the community."
