"Diner on 16th is one of those places that gained popularity due to their infamous chicken waffle. <br>

I have never heard of them before nor their chicken waffles hence i kept an open mind during my visit. And besides I haven't eaten a lot of chicken waffles in my lifetime<br>

Wait...Fireside's version is different right? No...okay. <br>

Scratch that off, I've had chicken multiple times, waffles not so much. But I've never had chicken and waffles at the same time. <br>

The place is of moderate size. No fancy furniture. Typical diner set-up. And it reminds me of place where kids would go after school.<br>

Waffle Florentine (Php 350). 3 pieces buttermilk fries chicken, classic waffles, poached eggs, spinach, bacon & hollandaise sauce. Okay, i was surprised to see "buttermilk" on the menu because the chicken doesn't taste like the ones I've had in Fireside. Think of it as regular fried chicken sans seasoning. The waffles is mediocre (I've had better). Saving grace of the dish is the bacon (buti na lang may bacon kundi olats na ????) and the poached eggs. Ze eggs were cooked perfectly.<br>

"Who have not eating in Max??? The tradition is still there and ones in a while you will be looking for the spring chicken sarap to the bone dip it worchestershire sauce and banna ketchup (Before it was Jufran) service are friendly and effecient even though I noticed that there is no service charge on the bill."
