"July 2008. My first time ever to visit Alaska, and Skook took me to this coffeeshop and I was in awh over the home made cookie's and the size of there bakery items! I enjoyed a sweet roll and the service was a down home feeling from the cashier, and the owner was making more of his home made food for someone else. Iloved it!"

"The homer farmer’s market is the local and tourist event on Saturday in summer. it can be overcrowded and production can be sold at the beginning of the season early. between Saturdays and the smaller Wednesday market at the same place I complete most of my food purchases during the season. simply fresh salsa made in homer is the best I ever had, and twice the week in summer we have incredibly baked sweet and hearty tasty stores from a vegan baker. the vegan bakers have brote, kekse,cake cups, cakes, danish, zimtrolle, piroshki, vegan kimchi (other manufacturers use garnel and fish sauce,) as well as the best sour wort and fermented gurkens that I found in the opposite. during the growing season there are a lot of product greens, mushrooms, juggling, garlic, tomatoes, gurkens, aubergines, sellerie, crumbs, root vegetables, occasionally berry and apples. kombucha, coffee, jams, jelly, chocolate, crumbs and personal care products can also be available on Saturday. most produce suppliers, the salsa provider, and the vegan back provider sell on Saturday and Wednesday, other special providers can not sell on Wednesday. the Wednesday market is usually much less crowded than the Saturday market. updated from previous review on 2017-01-30"

"The property has changed since last year. They consolidated their menu. And what they do is a high quality. I had the Detour Burger and my wife the Detour Hotdog. I don't eat hot dogs because most of them are processed garbage, but they used a Hebrew national hot dog I really appreciate. The sauces and paprika they used were fantastic. The Detuor Burger was good quality meat and the Kimchi that put them under the Patty was just the perfect delicate taste to compile the burger. The French frits also use a high-quality sea salt. Definitely the price for the quality and the part you receive. I wish I had to try as it was before, but I really like what they did under new management."

"This place is very unique! I love the decor and how the inside looks. I got the Biscuits Gravy sandwich, my boyfriend got the waffle with everything on it. Both our meals were delicious! The restaurant was pretty full when we got there and we were one of the last orders that were able to happen, due to the kitchen running out of food. The servers. They were amazing in every way. There seemed to be only 2 working this morning and they were both working extreme hard. The 4 star rating is strictly for the man who appeared to either be the owner or the manager. This man came out in the middle of the servers working their tails off, clearing tables, making sure everyone was happy...to go behind the bar and make himself something to drink. He then proceeded to just stand in the corner of the room. As someone who has worked in multiple restaurants where the owners are present. I have never witnessed an owner/manager just stand around and watch."
