"Grabbed some food in this Korean BBQ place and it its awesome! Because I ate a lot, the meat platters were worth it. Sometimes you are full of side dishes. They even have the korean popsicle stick on the door JIC you forget to desert. It's just too close. He's just next to Rob ermita so you can chat after Malate. Hehe"

"I recently saw an article about this restaurant. Decided to give it a try as I was convinced of the authenticity of the place. The proximity of the place was fine, they even offer decent parking in front of their restaurant. This place isn't that hard to find as it is lit with bright LED signage. You have a minimum order of 2 grilled items in order to be able to dine with you. Ordered (2) Woo Samgyup, a thinly sliced US beef short plate marinated with herbs. Upon request, they also hand out a pot of clam soup free of charge and place it next to your table. They also offer unlimited side dishes for the grill items for free. The only downside to this place was their space as they only have a maximum seating capacity that can only accommodate up to 20 customers and they also have another restaurant next to them that is owned by the same owner where the toilet is."

"It makes fun to drive places that they rarely visit in a holiday and one of them is in the Ermita/Malate area. I was finished with my rounds, and my suki taxi driver came over this resto near the hotel in pan pazific. When I was a Yakiniku place, I was not mentally trying it out. it was delicate and full of taste, as we both ordered the Japanese and American versions of it. we added kimchi and a few bibimbap to him and it was a fulfilling meal. to satisfy our demand, it was washed by a good Kirin beer, it was a good day to eat on Thursday."

"December 2016 Korean Food Trip

You would know that a Korean restaurant is authentic when you see that most of its patrons are Korean. That is certainly the case for Myung Ga. There are many Korean restaurants in Ermita-Malate area tucked in every street corner but this one stood out because of outstanding recommendations from friends and frequent visitors.

They serve a variety of appetizers. While most serve 5-6 varieties, this one serves up to 8 different appetizers. According to the waitress, several of its ingredients are flown in from Korea. That is why some of the vegetables are not familiar. Mostly vegetable appetizers were served, they also offered clams and dried seaweeds. My personal favorite was the cucumber kimchi because of its crunch, freshness and heat.

We ordered 2 servings of samgyupsal (grilled pork belly) accompanied spicy scallion salad and lettuce. It was served with the following dips: sesame oil with salt and fermented soybean paste. Meat was tender and not overcooked. We asked waitress to cook it in the kitchen instead of table side. My only comment is they don't have a wide selection of grilled meats as compared to the other restaurants within the vicinity.

We also ordered kimchi stew with tuna instead of pork (kimchi-chamchi jjgae). As always soup was spicy and flavorful. Tuna was tender and fresh. Soup had this distinct fishy taste which was very appetizing.

To cap off the wonderful meal, we were served with an interesting dessert. Its actually sweetened rice broth which washed away the spice in our taste buds.

This restaurant has become my favorite go-to restaurant. Simply the best Korean restaurant in town. I'm quite surprised that it's not listed in Zomato when I checked in November 2016. We'll definitely come back for more!"
