"We had a 11:15 pm reservation. They took us to a restaurant next door and said that it was the same one. Service was a bit strange. Food was very good. We had onion rice, chicken vindaloo and chicken tikki masala, garlic naan and onion rice. I was irritated that they rushed us out before we were finished eating. They should have told us when they sat us we would be rushed out in 45 mins. Very inexpensive."

"We were visiting from the U.S., and were eager to try an Indian restaurant, as we had heard they were excellent in London. The Empress certainly exceeded our expectations. As we had difficulty deciding what to order, we shared several dishes, family style. Everything was delicious! The chicken was wonderfully tender, the sauces and spices were excellent, and the service was lovely. Even our younger son, who can be a bit fussy, really enjoyed his meal. About a 10 minute walk from the Tower Hill underground. So happy we elected to go here!"
