"Having been to Hong Kong House several weeks ago with some friends. The food was lovely. So decided to bring another group of friends along. Whatever happened several weeks later I do not know! My friends and myself were placed next to table of a very rowdy party. The hot and sour soup was simply sweet and sour sauce with some vegetables thrown in. After having mentioned this, the bowl was taken away, having been replaced with something that tasted even worse! Second course arrived and the grease was sitting on the plate. The rest of the food was simply just a bad take away! In the meantime…the conversation was almost impossible by the stupid rowdy football style crowd at the next table, rapidly getting wasted on shots. With shouts of ‘shots’ to accompany it! As the evening progressed, the noise was building to a crescendo with the owner standing by the table, back slapping the patrons and fully encouraging this hooligan style behaviour! After the THIRD happy birthday song was sung it become clear that this was becoming increasingly intolerable. We went with the intention of catching up with with old friends at Christmas time and expecting a good time! Nay nay nay! Not so. We paid good money for an extremely poor experience. Having told the owner and the waitress about our God awful session at their restaurant. No apology was offered or refund/ compensation mentioned. DO NOT GO TO THIS AWFUL CHEAP TWO BIT RESTAURANT. P.S. The toilets were disgusting too. Just about says it all really!"

"Excellent curries, there were 4 of us and we tried biryani, jalfrezi, rogan and a house special achari bahar- all were very tasty. Service was efficient but not too quick. Will definitely return. Stand out curries we’re the achatri and jalfrezi. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The reviews on here seem to be good, however we normally have a takeaway from aroma. Unfortunately it was shut so we decided to try happy house. We had beef curry, crispy chilli beef and chips to share. We picked our order up, the place definitely needs renovating. The beef curry was below average, the chips were chips and the crispy chilli beef was shocking, there was hardly any beef in them, it was rock hard and turned into ash in your mouth. Very poor quality."
