"A friend was in town, and I was tasked with figuring out what to do for dinner. A coworker suggested this place as a great, inexpensive spot in the lower haight. Dinner came, and went, and a good time was had by all. A couple folks were eating ethiopian food for the first time, and were in for a shock w/ the lack of utensils, and the communal eating experience. We had a group of 8, and we were taking up a ton of space, so going with a smaller group is probably wise. Our group ended up ordering 3 meat dishes, and the veggie platter for four. While both were tasty, everyone was definitely favoring the veggies which were packed with flavor. All in all, a great spot to get your hands dirty and fill your belly! (Might want to pack that Purell, everyone is eating with their hands after all…"

"The fish tibsi was jaw droppingly good! well spiced, deep flavor, tender and envigorating. also had the whole lentils, house made cottage cheese, beef, and lamb. The place was quiet, and the one guy was serving all the tables, but the vibes were right. I'm coming back for the fish!"
