"We tried different restaurants in Kalamaki and in Chania, and this one was actually one of the best. We picked our restaurants on our trip by only going to the top rated ones and I really believe this restaurant deserves an higher rating. The aubergine dip deserves a mention, as well good fried calamari, grilled vegetables, garlic bread, and an off menu' of the day lamb shank."

"Highly recommended but do reserve a table in advance. It is located in a small beautiful alley closed to the shopping street. Big portion salad and fresh grilled Octopus. Love that smell and even though the surface is crispy, the inner is still soft and juicy. Seafood linguine with fresh shrimp and mussels but still fully flavored. You can have Sweet sangria wine and we got free Raki at the end. The staff sent us a bottle of Sangria as gift cause we have to finish earlier for guest with reservation."

"Family business Taverna style restaurant, mom really makes the best moussaka. The kleftico probably also the best we had. Very authentic traditional cuisine served in clay pots. Typically fantastic Greek hospitality. Very recommended."

"Great place for a quick and tasty dinner. The restaurant itself is not like a traditional restaurant with table service. You order at the counter and collect your food from the kitchen when it is ready so don't expect to get the full table service experience. The food however was amazing so fresh and flavourful everything is made fresh daily and you can really tell. We had one of the pizzas and a garlic/truffle rigatoni which was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten. Along with two beers and a garlic bread this came to 20 euros which is so cheap for the quality of food that you get. Cant recommend this place enough just be aware you will be in and out in around 30minutes."

"We had a great experience here! We were shocked to see such a low rating. We had some of the best muscles and shrimps here we ever had. The waiter is a fantastic friendly older man who loves to share the delicious food they make. The situation cannot be beaten either; on a beautiful gravel road."

"We shared a pizza diavola which was one of the tastiest pizzas ever! They make their own dough and it is superb. Was recommended a local red wine that went very well with the spicy pizza. They also gave us some bread and cheese as nibbles to finish the wine. Their complimentary sweet at the end of the meal was a home made icecream. They won the Cretan free dessert competition in our view. The service was very helpful and attentive and free rakis of various sorts ended the meal. You should definately try this place out. Sorry we only found it on our last evening here."
