"The issue happened already in June 2019. However, this experience was so unusual that we just cannot forget this. We made a reservation for 10 people. However, one of our friends could not make it, so we arrived only as the the 9 of us....There were 2 tables reserved for us, but we decided to squeeze ourselves into 1 table so the restaurant can have the other table free to host other guests. 8 guests ordered starters, main dishes, drinks, salads and so on. However, one in the group of the 9 guests was a vegetarian and thus ordered only a salad and no main dish. Suddenly the owner came out of the open kitchen and screamed at us. What we think we are doing... We made a reservation for 10 and then we would only show up with 9 guests... He has had reserved a table for 10... One guest didn 't even order a main dish... He could have used the space and made the money for 10 guests (even though there was no queue and the restaurant was not even half full)... Blablabla... Then he insisted, that we shall order an additional main course since we made a reservation for 10 people, showed up with only 9 guests and ordered only 8 main dishes. And all of that screaming at me. A waiter (employee) was standing next to the scene and felt obviously ashamed for his boss. It was obvious that he wanted to apologise for this, but did not dare while his boss was around. Luckily most of my friends do not speak german and did not understand what he was screaming about. Unbelievable!!! The interior and concept is indeed unique and that is why so many people try to go there while in Lucerne. I get it... Also the chicken tastes really good, there cannot be any doubt. However, all that is not even remotely compensating for the anger issues of the owner. We live in Lucerne for many years. After this unpleasant dinner, we never set a foot into this place ever again and surely will never again."
