"I like this bar, yet I don't especially like rum! The uber-warm welcoming guys who work there make it what it is, along with great live music, and a creative drinks menu. Unsurprisingly, it attracts a colourful eclectic crowd"

"We came here last night with a huge hospo crew for a leaving do and we were bar hopping along Brunswick St. Generally, the bartenders were rude and abrupt, they were more concerned with drinking shots with their mates over the bar than serving customers. Particularly the larger dude of the two in blue. As the night progressed, the more drunk they got the ruder the service became. Example: we were having a drink outside and he aggressively snatched the drink. Came back outside to say he put it on the side went back in. Quickly came outside raving about us wanting a $7000 fine. I politely said, dude that’s fine, all you need to is say, we get it, and didn’t know. He later kept saying he could get my friends kicked out, whilst having shots with his mates and screaming his head off, in a juvenile, boisterous way. Something was off key. Cocktails were generally unbalanced too. Freepours were under (probably just drunk carelessness). I had an issue with a rum-based espresso martini that was pushed upon me when I wanted an original. Credit to the other bartender, he did offer to make me another one but went about it in such an arrogant way and started repetitively telling me why it doesn’t taste how I want it to blah blah blah, I just left it. We spent a lot of money here as a group and have before. Such a shame about the rude service. I think I’ll try this bar again once the staff turnover. Once such a great cocktail bar."
