"I just moved down to Ft Myers, Florida from Central NY about a month ago. I have been extremely impressed and grateful of how courteous and polite people have been to me in the sunshine state. That is until I made the mistake of gracing my presence at Cru!! I have never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life. My friend and I chose to sit at a table outside by the bar to order a couple of drinks. The bartender came over and asked us what we would like to drink and then asked for our identification. I would like to add that I am 26 years old, and am well above the required legal age to partake in alcohol consumption. Being that I just moved down to FL, I have yet to receive a FL license, and had no other choice, but to give him my old NY state ID. In all fairness, the ID is a little old, and I have a different hair color in the picture, but my face has not changed, being that the ID is in fact ME!! I also would like to add that I have never had any other problems, and I have gone to multiple restaurants, both fine, as well as casual dining. Along with many bars in NY, NC, SC, as well as FL!! Anyways, the bartender took my ID and asked if I had any other form of identification. I did not bring a credit card with me, so I told him that I did not! He then sarcastically remarked that my id looked like it was made in someone 's basement!! He then told me he would be right back and took my ID. To my dismay, the bartender then began to show the entire staff my ID while pointing at the table where my friend and I were sitting. At this point I began feeling myself turn red, with embarrassment and astonishment. I could not believe this was happening!! What happened next was completely and utterly appalling!! This little arrogant guy came over to me and, again with his snooty attitude asked if I had any other form of ID? At this point I was furious; however, being the respectable girl that I am, I calmly asked for my ID back and told him it wasn 't a big deal, and that I would just go somewhere else to get a drink. Then what came out of this S.O.B’s mouth almost knocked me off my stool. He said, Actually we are just going to keep it and I 'm going to call the cops!! I said, You can 't be serious right now, and go right ahead!! I was about to explode on this complete TOOL!! He finally came back and told me, Well were not going to call the cops, were just not going to serve you. I told him that, that was fine and that I would never spend my money at an establishment that treated their customers like they were unworthy of their business!! I then left and immediately went to a Dive bar, because all I wanted was a drink, and the attitude and disrespect were completely unnecessary!! I would rather go to a lower class establishment, any day of the week, where I am treated like a human being, than to go to some stuffy overpriced restaurant where the staff treats you like a piece of s--t!! I have NEVER been degraded and treated like such a nobody in my ENTIRE life!! I don 't know where these a--holes get off thinking they are better then everyone else. They for some reason are on some sort of power trip, obviously feeling inadequate with their own pathetic existence!! What a JOKE!! It 's Comedy Central Up At CRU!! Not that it is important, but I am a young, very attractive girl, that dresses accordingly!! I was going to go back and do the whole Pretty Woman, thing, Big Mistake, HUGE!! But I wouldn 't waste my precious time!! The fact that I am wasting my time writing this review, is only in hopes that someone will read it, and choose to take their business elsewhere!! Please, Please, Please...Take my advice, and don 't ever go to CRU!! Unless you want to be treated like a piece of s--t!!!"
