"Not quite sure how to go about this review as I am still gobsmacked about the experience my Wife and I had at the Salkarra. Was a bit uneasy at the lack of customers when we went in 10.30pm ish Saturday. Ordered the usual popadoms and dips came with three of the smallest round dishes which contained the 'dips ' teaspoon (measure) in each one. Fast forward to the main meal. Tried to order chicken madras but they did not do it. Tried for a lamb biryani did not do it. Ordered what I thought was a curry dish but was presented with two pieces of what looked like tandoori chicken which would have been acceptible but it was inedible. The chicken was so salty I had to spit it out, To be fair my Wife ordered Tikka Masala and she said hers was ok. Did not pay for my meal and I do not know how this restaurant is rated at 4.6 on trip advisor. Would not return."

"Don’t get it. Picked up some hugely overpriced cold curry to heat up at home. Staff took it ‘out the back’ for 10 minutes to package up for us to take home. Which, for all we could tell, was putting the boxes into a paper bag. What took 10 minutes? Cost us £40. Got home, heated it up and it’s probably the most disappointing curry I’ve ever eaten. Very confused as to the popularity."

"We ordered lamb balti which wasn’t like a balti but was still ok, we also ordered a chicken tikka masala which nothing better than a watery cheap chip shop curry, very disappointed. This used to be a good takeaway. Who ever left needs to come back"
