"During our stay in Pondicherry, we searched for good cafes and restaurants every day. Appachi was another option due to its unique Chettinad cuisine. The lady wasn't very interested, but somehow I managed to follow her. <br>

The entrance to the restaurant is like entering a house. The staff is friendly and knows what it has to offer. The seating is classic and don't expect anything special. <br>

We ordered parotta, roast fish, roast prawns, mutton chettinad, and rice. The food was more complete than we are used to. It just made my buds taste great. The lady was a bit skeptical (not so experimental !!) and so she ordered a few inactive. A bit of regular rice was important to neutralize the spices and enjoy the food better. I loved the parotta and ordered more. I would say the taxes and others raised the bill a bit, but the prices are otherwise reasonable. <br>
