"I wanted something different tonight, so I opted for Manfred's. I asked for suggestions which led to a short conversation about if I wanted heavy or light (in between), and the normal or wonky (wonky, why would I want normal and come here). So the lamb torta it is! The grilled mozzarella and cheddar provide an interesting taste (in a good way). The lamb is like pulled and chopped barbecue, and the house slaw is very good, providing a nice crunch. I added a half order of fries (I'm in Idaho, must eat potatoes), and they are tasty. Jennifer Horton Baweja would enjoy them with vinegar. I knew I would need something sweet, so I opted for the fresh Krispy Treat. I provided my own bottled Pepsi. Well worth the stop if you want something different while in Boise."

"We had a Family Dinner for 15 Adults and 5 Children August 12 2017, I really want to Thank Chef Jesus Alcelay for one of the finest Family Style Basque Dinners I have had in a long time. The food was prepared with the highest quality of ingredients and care, everyone was very impressed. The Staff also contributed to the quality of the evening, they catered to everyones request and made everyone feel very SPECIAL!!! Thank you Jesus and your people for making our evening so Wonderful!!!! Ed Barrett Family"

"More that decent basque food. Of course, everything would taste better in Bilbao, but this is the other corner of the world and the raw ingredients are not the same, they do a great job nevertheless. The entrecôte was very,very good, good stuffed peppers,great croquetas, and enough wine selection. Non-pretentious food, the real value is in the quality of ingredients and just theright preparation. A true gem in the core of Boise."

"I am heartbroken that the sit down restaurant has closed because of staffing and supply chain issues. They still offer coffee and donuts on Saturday mornings and an occasional pre-order Sunday Chicken Dinner with all the fixings to go. Always good food! "That was a fun place to try. want them back for the paella and rehearse some other items. they serve only paella at certain days, but they can preorder, I guess, and they have saved it for them. I tried croquetas. wanted to try all the flavors, but they need to buy at least 8 of each taste and there were only two of us, so we just tried a few flavors. the caramelized bevel (as not cubed) and the pupil cheese (as cubed)"
