"I had dinner in the restaurant one night during my stay, because I just couldn't bring myself to go out, since I was still jet-lagged. I was not too hopeful, since it was a hotel restaurant, even though it was in France. I should not have worried. I ordered the duck, and it was amazing. It is the dish that I have when I am in France, and then spend six months trying to find at home. You have to come here to get it done properly. The staff is small, but very attentive - but you are given your space, as well. I found on a trip years ago that unlike the US, there is no timetable for dinner in France - it takes as long as it takes. So, even though I was alone, it was still a very pleasant evening, and much slower paced than at home, which is appreciated. I also had room service while I was staying, which is from the same kitchen (and delivered by my waiter) and the burger (I know, a burger in France, sorry) was amazing. So, the food here was beyond my hopes, and my hopes are pretty high when I am in France."
