"It’s such a disappointment to write this review. Had a fantastic experience 3 years ago; however the place has completely gone down since. In summary: Mediocre food, below average service, and a manager that took no responsibility or wanted to understand what went wrong suggest book your next event at another local balmoral venue. Bread, oysters, cold and hot starters were brought at the same time when we politely asked for the hot food to be taken away so we could enjoy the cold starters without the hot food going cold we were told the food would ‘dry up’ under the heated lamp… staff was shocked when we asked for it to be made fresh considering it’s a fine dining venue. Waitress was rude when bringing the hot food and saying “take two” before dropping the plates on the table and quickly leaving. Food was average at best, the spaghettini had no flavour other than a bunch of undercooked celery and the Eye fillet was overcooked. At this point we were frustrated with the service and quality of the food, when we gave the feedback to the manager he insisted the food was cooked properly and didn’t see what was wrong with the service… a free dessert is the only thing he could offer. We politely declined the disingenuous attempt to sweeten the experience, pointing out we are sharing our feedback to him so other patrons don’t walk out with a similar experience. At the end he insisted nothing was wrong."

"Chelsea's has become a firm local favourite over the years! A convenient, popular little cafe in the middle of the Mosman high street! Duck in for a quick coffee and a mini bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese and then run off and do all your chores! An extensive menu, good value and tasty!"

"I've got birthday surprise from my man. that is the place he chose. love the view and also the service and ambiente really good. the food we ordered the seafood pasta and gras fed steak perfectly delicious. love it!"

"Went to Goemon with the family for dinner. We all ordered the banquet and all agreed this was fantastic value, compared with ordering individual dishes. Started with miso soup and edamame and steamed gyoza. All very good! Then the serious tastes begin: bring on the salmon and spicy leek wrap, followed by my favourite the tuna and kingfish carpaccio. Unbelievably fresh and delicious. Bring on the prawn tempura and mixed vegetables, the Kobe steak, Teriyaki chicken with rice. There was certainly enough food and even my husband commented he was full! This hardly ever happens. Well done Goemon! Really enjoyed it all and of course we will be back! Arigato Gozaimasu!"

"Was walking in Mosman on a rainy Sunday and came across this delightful Cafe. We didn't have a booking but the staff managed to find us a table indoors next to the fireplace. The coffees were very good and the little almond biscuit slices that accompanied our coffees were a really nice touch. Will drop by for a meal next time we're in the area."

"A traditional english mansion set along the busy military road is the last place I would expect to find a tea room but the place offers perfect escape from the hustle and bustle outside its front gates.<br>

We ordered the classic high tea, which came with a selection of petit fours, finger sandwiches, cakes and scones. My favourites were the goats cheese and sundried tomato tarts and the salmon blinis. I wasn't quite expecting pasta salad as a petit four though. <br>

Quite enjoyed the scones as it was quite soft and airy but perhaps not as crumbly as I would have liked. On the dessert end, the raspberry tart and chocolate mousse were also quite delightful. The rest of the items tasted average but overall the entire tray was quite delectable.<br>

Its a great place to bring a close one for afternoon tea or have an event such as a baby shower. Staff here are exceptionally accommodating. They took time to explain all the menu elements and carefully catered to all of our plentiful dietary requirements."
