"The worst service on a Sunday at 11:30 am. From the moment we walked in and asked for a menu instead of eating off their brunch buffet it was a problem. Our waitress was not existent left us waiting, didn’t check in on us, didn’t give us a refill and never gave us our aioli sauce thar we requested. Burgers weren’t the best. Boring and bland. Won’t be dining here again."

"I went to Granite City twice in about a 2 week span. My first time being with my husband on date night. We went on a Friday the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately our waiter was either overwhelmed or maybe they were short staffed because he’d come by and then we wouldn’t see him for about 1/2 hour. I ended up ordering their chicken tenders and they were mediocre at best, their spiked strawberry lemonade was very good though. My 2nd time going my friend suggested it, I kept my mouth shut since I wasn’t sure if they had a different experience than me and this was on a Wednesday. Plus most places deserve a 2nd chance….well it was no different they seemed to be very confused at the host table, again maybe they were training new people or short staffed. My friend ordered their margarita and she ended up sending it back I however being a creature of habit ordered their spiked strawberry lemonade again which was good. We ordered their chicken wings as an app and they were nothing special again the wait for wings was about 1/2 hour and another 20 minutes for our waitress to return to take our actual order where again we waited for what seemed to be close to 45 minutes. I did however change my order to a blue peppercorn burger. The burger came out with no blue cheese and was very dry they replaced the burger but it was still blah. They also said they’d take off my friend’s margarita and give us a spiked strawberry lemonade for free which when we looked at the receipt they did in fact charge us but we’re accommodating and took them off. Overall I think this place would be decent if they had enough staff or better training. If/when I go back will be awhile"

"Very good, fresh sushi. The maki is not covered and masked with lots of sauces on top. Lots of small plate appetizer options. Also the standard udon, soba and ramen options. Good portions. The rice bowl is huge! Recommend the soft shell crab, pork cheeks, nigiri and maki the most. Karaage had a heavier batter than we expected. Beef Coquette was a bit bland on its own but the spicy mustard did pair well with it. There are a few private rooms available. Great to go with family and friends for a variety of Japanese food options."

"Amazing Japanese food experiences every time that i go here. The sushi, handrolls, appetizers, and so much more are top notch. I recommend the spicy ramen for ramen enthusiasts. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is nice and private. It will be hard to find better authentic Japanese food and atmosphere experience elsewhere. This is a top 5 Japanese restaurant overall in chicagoland."
