"Great sushi and service. I've been going to Kanji since it opened. Roger and his wife Sue have crowned my wife and I. We sat at the sushi bar where I usually sit. The waiter came by within seconds and returned quickly with our drinks (water and free green tea). She gets my waitress of the year because she refills my drinks so quickly, including the BYOB sauce. I have the Abalone Appiitizer that is amazing. It is a combination of cut abalone with three of Roger's big sauces accompanied by an abalone and crab salad. The salad was earlier server in a real Abalone bowl, but now it is presented in a simple glass bowl. My wife got oysters who served five oysters with sauce in goggles. We both loved that. I ordered a Sashimi Deluxe and my wife got the Two Thumbs Up Roll and spicy tuna and Advocado roll. We replace the brown sushi rice. The Sashimi is always fresh, but the variety does not include some sushi bar spins such as arch shell (red shell), squid, surf cam, octopus or Shiiso leaves. I had the Hibachi a few times and it's about what you expected. I always feel like I'll be rushed to every Hibachi grill, so forget to order starters unless your party fills the entire grill. Roger has developed amazing sauces for his dishes. I would love it if he introduced some new flavors."
