"A big almost Seafront Spoons. Many seats and an area of the back with additional seating in the parking area. Lives but served very quickly. Had food here and it's usual decent Spoons standard. Service was good, the Ale was well presented and excellent. Often stop on a coastal walk, no parking spaces, but there are limited public parking spaces."

"What a great afternoon had my usual mixed grill and wine. The meat was not the best but great value the place was very busy and people were leaving and tables taken before they could be cleaned like mine i asked someone and they cleaned it straight away. I feel if you expect top quality food and that 4 star look you got to remember its a weatherspoons. To me great value not to fussy and the meal night deals in the week great value for money. The staff run by manageress Tracey are always friendly and if something is wrong i show them and they sort it because i talk to them respectfully. Thank you guys for a great afternoon."

"Food was lovely as always… but the older waitress (possibly the owner) is the rudest person we’ve ever met, arrogant and unprofessional. We’ve been going there years, same disgusting attitude every time, nearly took it personal at one point, till I realised she’s like it with most people."

"Here for dinner and warmly welcomed by the staff and a good service throughout the building. eating is okay not getting excited, but it was in order. the only annoying thing is that we must not use the salatable yet. and a coworker makes it for them. I don't really understand why, when no one used a mask or took any obvious kovid precautions, it seems unnecessary to keep this measure at location and place."

"We popped in for a drink before going elsewhere for dinner. We were told by the bar staff that they would come over and take our drinks order. People came in after us and we’re served before us. There were 5 staff milling around, I complained to the barman and we waited another 10 mins for our drinks. Over 20 minutes to get what we ordered and it wasn’t busy. If we’d been served quicker we would have had another round. Terrible service, won’t be coming back."

"Came back to this place after a previous successful visit as I have a relative in town. Hoping for the same service and the same experience I was eagerly anticipating the same as before. I think this place thrives on local tourist trade and locals...who like to watch sport on tv. I popped in for. quick bite to eat and as I went up to the bar to order a meal I heard the'f' word on 2 separate occasions with no effort being made by the staff to surpress the bad language being spoken at the bar by a guest. A girl came into the bar to join some people and she too was effing and jeffing which made me feel the place was a bit rough and perhaps I had made a mistake. I ordered Hunters chicken and waited for this to be served. When the meal arrived the chips were piping hot sadly the chicken was lukewarm and clearly had been prepared earlier and not kept warm enough. Moving from chip to chicken was a clear difference in temperature by which time the offending guest with his excellent command of the English language had moved away from the bar and was now the other side of the seating dining area continuing with his colourful language within earshot of me. Hardly a pleasant ambience in which to enjoy a meal. No one asked me if the meal was okay. I quickly ate what I could and left. Sadly despite my previous experience last June in this place where I left a good review will not be repeated. I will not be returning. It just goes to show how a place can change in the space of a few months. If you are visiting with young children be aware the clientele in this place display colourful language and the bar staff appear to be quite accepting of this. I was a lady on her own who came in with confidence due to a previous visit and as a result of this last experience will now not return. I think the landlord perhaps needs to point out to staff that repeat business is important and standards do need to be maintained and although last June my sister and I had a great experience my visit on Friday as a solo traveller was poor in comparison. I will now tell my sister of my experience and we will have to find somewhere else to eat when we next come down for a visit. Somewhere where the F' word is not part of the menu would be preferable for me."

"Beautiful location, attentive staff, breakfast excellent. total cleanliness was terrible!, carpeted crooked, in the room refrigerator not working, we had to upgrade from the original room because the room we had booked had no wardrobe where we unpacked and not a hook to hang clothes. we were booked four days and the room was not waiting, we had to ask for dry towels, clean dishes and more productions. Radiators didn't work, I had to bleed them to get heat. the biggest complaint was the dirt and the general lack of cleanliness, thick spin webs in the restaurant, dirty carpets etc. Conclusion: overpriced, based on location instead of service."
