"Delicious food and great atmosphere. Here for Winterlicious and the menu was really nice and had some of their most popular dishes, as well as a few special. All staff were friendly and welcoming, we were well looked after. Recommended to sit at the cooking table when you can, was really cool to see that they cook your dishes for you."

"Kim Kim Chinese Hakka Restaurant is a no frills kind of eatery. Their menu is extensive with dozens of choices of fried rice, chicken, pork, beef, seafood, noodles, soup, and vegetables. On this visit for a late lunch, we shared four items between the four of us. The Lollipop Chicken was nicely fried and crispy. This is such a popular Chinese Hakka item to order (I’ve ordered it before at Tangerine, another Hakka restaurant). We asked for the Tandoori Fish to be less spicy, but it was still a tad spicy. It tasted great in any case. The fillet was slightly crispy while the inside was flakey. The Broccoli with Garlic Sauce smelled so fragrant with the garlic pieces. The Vegetable Fried Rice was delicious. To our surprise, we also got an extra serving of white rice on the side. We had so much food on the table! We ended up taking the leftover home. At the end of the meal, we received complimentary fortune cookies. Aside from delicious and savory items, Hakka Chinese food tends to be so economical too. Each dish is usually only about $7 to $12, so it works out to $10 on average per dish to share."

"Family friendly Hakka Indian and Hakka Chinese food. (Hakka people are diasporic Chinese that live globally. Many went to India and their cuisine reflects that. Gets busy, so may have to wait for a seat. Servers are efficient and accommodating to dietary needs. including various levels of spice. The food is a bit oily, if you have issues. Can do take out pick up. Generally the food is delicious. (Apparently the fish is amazing."

"My family went for dinner at Deer Garden Signatures Markham ... actually, the location is not in Markham, but in Scarborough (i.e., Toronto). The specialty is soup noodles that you order on a slip of paper by checking off the soup base, 2 toppings, noodles and drink for $9.75. We added a third topping and a side dish at extra charge. They also have some rice bowl dishes.Our orders arrived relatively quickly and were quite thick with meat, noodles and vegetables, so were filling. Overall, the food tasted fine, with no MSG, but the soup base was somewhat bland.The decor is modern and spare. The service from the Chinese servers was perfunctory, not welcoming, and they did not say much."
