"Food was quite average. The roti canai was a disappointment. Roti not hot and so thick not made then and there. Its mostly cooked from the freezer. The gravy was quite watery and lacked taste. The satay chicken was ok. Nothing spectacular. General tso chicken was good. All in all would not recommend or go there again."

"Aunty Mena's is a regular hangout for me these days. A while back (years) I had tried it and been less than impressed. But my family convinced me to go back. They have excellent fresh food which is delicious. I especially love their laksas and curries. Stay away from the Gado Gado and mock chicken legs though. However especially try their dumpling laksa and their vegan roti!! The dumpling laksa is delicious. The prices are a little higher than some of the other very cheap Malaysian restaurants in the area but the food quality is higher and it's well worth it. The decor is not fantastic but who cares. Also it can be either empty or very crowded. It seems to vary greatly. Also their deep fried food such as their deep-fried hash browns and their vege balls are wickedly good."

"I ordered char kuey teow (takeaway , my always go to option when I’m visiting. I think it was their last order before kitchen closes as I was not allowed to dine in. I specifically requested no pork, no lard, 100% halal please. Cashier even confirmed that with me before my payment. Got home and opened box, I didn’t notice it initially, as soon as I started to eat, I saw pork in there! (Total shock!!! And more and more pork in there, as well as lard! Seriously this is not acceptable, people don’t take pork for religious reason and you offer halal version for some of items on your menu to accommodate people’s diet requirements. I don’t see how I’m gonna visit again given this horrible experience I’ve had! You can’t expect people to open box to check if the order is right before they leave!"

"The nyonya platter 12) was good, nice little crispy pieces of tofu, mini spring rolls and a cut vege frit served with sweet thai chili sauce and satay. the frit was a bit simple and the Satay sauce was a little under seasoned, had to baptize to even find out what it was. also had the roti and curry dipping sauce 6), which was delish! main was the vegan mee goreng 20), and as much as it looked beautiful and serve a decent, it was a bit let in. Too oily, mushrooms I didn't know that would be in him (have them to my man though haha), and just a bit too bland. overall average, but I want to come back to try something else. edit: went back 21 jan 22, tried a rice court and unfortunately I would recommend it another 3. bland and cut. updated by previous review on 2022-01-21"
