"I came to elia for a common family birthday and was not disappointed. from a walk into the place I was immediately hit by the number of employees available, a refreshing view! I felt that each and every one of my server gave our table with good character great attention. I was thrilled with the worth and quality of the meal, my father and I had the 4 course set-suck diskette, a little of everything I like. I was particularly impressed by the moussaka and the baklava and it was all dressed with a beautiful cappuccino. great staff, great eating, great venue. I'll come back to another great food!"

"This was my first visit to Chillies, on a friend's recommendation. We shared tasty starters, and had a variety of dishes for our main course. I opted to have two smaller tapas-style dishes, garlic aloo zameen and baingan masala, friends had the bhindi ghosht among other dishes and commented on how good it was. All six of us agreed that we'd had a very enjoyable and tasty meal, with friendly service."

"We were heading for a night out in Great Western Road, and wandered down Byres Road. Found Banta Wala Indian restaurant, and thought we’d try it out. So glad we did! Himself had chicken pakora (lovely pieces of chicken, very lightly fried – best we’ve tasted) and I had an Indian street food, Chat (can’t remember which) which is crunchy wheat crisps with veg and spices. Very tasty, but felt a bit like eating rice crispies! Himself had Chicken Dopiaza, and I had Chicken garlic chilli. The latter was lovely and spicy, but even better with some yogurt to cool it down a wee bit. The rice and naan bread were also very tasty. Definitely be coming back; this didn’t break the bank, though the portions were generous and quite hard to finish."

"First time in Ashoka Southside for several years, and had seen some mixed reviews. Came in for quick dinner with friends on a Friday evening (booked but probably could have got away without booking). Overall thought it was pretty good really. The decor has become a bit more hokey over the years since the last visit, but other than that it was more or less as I remembered. Service was friendly and punctual, food was tasty and decent sized portions, and there was a choice of draft beers (Cobra and Bombay Bicycle IPA). Price was also fair enough I thought. Really, nothing to complain about if you are looking for a good sit down Indian meal on the southside of Glasgow"
