"Our meal couldn't have been any better. The staff were all extremely nice. And our waiter, AJ, paid us the perfect amount of attention. He was available whenever we needed him, but he wasn't obtrusive. We ordered three small plates to share ahi nachos, avocado spring rolls, and carnitas sopes. It was enough food to leave us satisfied without too much left over. While all of the food was delectable, the carnitas sopes were out of this world!! You are immediately hit by wonderful smells as the plate arrives. Which then leads into the first mouth watering bite. Do NOT miss out the next time you dine at Novo."

"One Fifth was a huge disappointment last night. We ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce and it was dry macaroni and cheese with a dash of cayenne pepper. The sauce was not a vodka sauce and the pasta was not rigatoni. When it was delivered, we thought it was a wrong order and that it belonged to a kids order of mac and cheese. Unfortunately, it was the correct dish. The spaghetti and meatballs that I ordered was bland. They cut up the spaghetti and the meatballs were dry and hard. We ordered the chocalate torte dessert and it was dry and salty. Yes, it was salty. I understand having salty and savory but it totally missed all of the marks. On the appetizer side, we ordered the cheesy bread, it was literally bread with uneventful melted baked cheese on top. The server was fantastic but the food was way below average. I've been to the some of the other chef's restaurants, this one although missed the mark."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate on his own initiative. We will come back in any case."
