"I have tasted some great traditional Lebanese cuisine, including in Lebanon, but Zenobia's has to be some of the best Levantine food I have ever tasted. After a Turkish delight cocktail to start the evening, we tried the baba ganouj, as an entree. Garnished with pomegranate this was a light, delicate version of an old favourite. For mains we had chicken shawarma and the cousa with goat's yoghurt. While the chicken was delicious, served with salad and chips, the cousa was nothing short of sublime. The heavenly mixture of herbs and spices left me wanting to know the secret blend. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, the decor wonderfully evocative of the eastern Mediterranean and the belly dancer added a nice touch. One minor drawback was that the piped music was a bit too loud and began to grate by the end of the evening, much as I am fond of middle eastern rhythms."
