"Eating was good, but the service on a Saturday night was slow, also occupied with only three other tables. There was a strong incense aroma from earlier in the evening that we found unpleasant until the waiter turned to the air system. The tasty dishes were very delicious."

"I ordered online at 5:40 for food to be picked up at 7:45. They called me at 7:40 asking if I was going to pick up and that I ordered at 5:40. You have an idea of where this is going….Needless to say she had to microwave the lamb curry, because it didn’t even feel very hot to the touch. I got back to hotel which was literally next door and food was Luke warm at best.Lamb curry food itself really wasn’t special. It might have been better if it was really hot though.Not worth the 40 bucks I spent, which was lamb curry, Taj Mahal, and I had already added a 20% tip when I placed the order.Lesson learned to never tip before trying food and especially watch the tips when picking up."

"We recently moved to dc and found ourselves in bethesda a few times for different borderings (it is a very fast and easy journey from the inner city dc on the red line). each time we used the opportunity to pay a visit to bethesda curry kitchen. bethesda curry kitchen not only makes unusual tasty versions of standard Indian fare (palak pakora, samosas, aloo gobhi, yellow daal and roti are all excellent), but also harder to find South Indian dishes (dosas, uttapam and ayival, a kokosmilch based curry that I really wish were more ubiquitous). all mentioned items are vegan and very clearly marked as such on the menu, which is a great help. the friendly staff also knows what vegan means, so just ask if they have any questions. Moreover, the restaurant seems to do a lunch buffet and a roaring take-out/delivery business options to consider for those who live the happiness or work near."

"After a long search for a quality Indian Restaurant, we finally found Maya. Food and service wonderful. We had mutter panneer, lamb vindaloo, bindhi, all perfect. Being from London where there are 5 very good Indian restaurants in walking distance of our home, we have a hard time finding anything to compare anywhere in the USA. This is it. Marvelous. Can't wait to come back"
