"It's not a very high maintenance restaurant. It pretty much looks like a family business. But it's the hospitality and home cooked food feeling that drives me and my wife to this restaurant.as mentioned in my previous review, I said I will here to try main course and so was I. We went on a Sunday morning around 11 or 12 .we ordered for bhalla papri and then ordered for a mooli paratha thali and my wife ordered for paneer dosa. Sambar along with dosa was so delicious and less on spices as we had asked for it. Paratha was so home tasting one. Love it. We drank mango lassi too, but not so good honestly, was good according to the restaurant standards but we were expecting the traditional flavour and not the restaurant flavour. Then inspired by the brunch we had we decided we will get stuff packed for our dinner too as we live in red deer. We got palak paneer and kadi pakoda and 2 samosa's to go. My wife liked the sweets and we did get one or two pieces of everything packed. When everything was paid for we forgot to pay for 2 samosa's to which aunty(I guess the owner) said no worries, pay next time. That was such a sweet gesture. We will surely be there in 2 weeks again to eat and pay for our 2 samosas. I am so much in love with this place, me and my wife have decided,each time we visit Calgary, we will eat here only."

"Very nice. I have had several meals at Nawab and my experiences were always very good. The staff are familiar with me and perhaps I get better service than some of the other reviewers because I have not encountered any problems. I was surprised that some reviews are negative. The food has always been very good, sometimes excellent. If I did not like it I would not go back and as mentioned previously I have been there several times. Of course everyone has different expectations and experiences. I have always liked Nawab."

"When you first stumble across this restaurant in a borderline-decrepit strip mall hidden behind a similarly nondescript hotel you really wonder whether you should pass on it and go somewhere. anywhere else! The place itself really could use a thorough remodeling inside and out, but I do have to admit that on the inside it is kept very clean and ordered. Then it's time to get to the buffet and that's where the superlatives start. I had everything on the very reasonably priced buffet except for the Railroad Mutton (it took me a week to get the taste out of my mouth when I had mutton over a decade ago) and it was all exceptionally good. The Beef Keema was reminiscent of the glorious version which was served at Rajput's Palace on Yonge south of College in Toronto in the late 70s. Yes, late 70s. a time when most of the people reading this review weren't as much as a glint in their daddy's eyes. The Palak Paneer and Butter Chicken are absolute standouts, and the naan bread is worth dining on just by itself. This may be one of the best Indian buffets I've had in the Canadian West, and I've had a lot of them! You won't be disappointed!"

"We needed a change from the bland fast food we were having for 4 days, heard about this place and visited for lunch. ambience is good, service is good and the food is delicious, esp the veg dishes. prices are on the higher side compared...to the general indian restts, but the quality compensates. would i go back there again? you bet I would."
