"A friend and I were traveling back to the ferry and stopped here for lunch. We received a charming welcome from, the lady that I assumed was the proprietor, who spoke excellent English. We chose the plat du jour, commencing with a good selection from the cold buffet, followed by a choice of lamb or pork, then cheese and desert. We ordered the lamb which was served as a casserole with beans and carrots, the lamb was tender and plentiful. This is a good place to break one’s journey, just set back from the D438 with plenty of parking."

"We used alencon as a stop over on the way back to the uk. Looking at trip advisor , a kaboul was listed n2 on trip so we decided to try it in order to avoid bad food like mcd for example ... the waiters , the manager or owner) were all very pleasant and polite , the food was great and flavoursome and good sized . The price is good considering the quality . Would definitely come back !"
