"Stopped off by chance, very welcoming staff and best of all the roast beef was amazing. Very hard to find a nice cooked roast dinner. Lots of veg and some great home made roast potatoes, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside."

"Don’t listen to the whining, bad reviews. My wife and I visited this evening on a whim, initially intending to head out for a quick bite to eat. We end up staying for a full dinner with baklava and coffee. The food was fantastic with very generous portion sizes and the service from all the staff was excellent, incredibly friendly, helpful and prompt. Couldn’t recommend enough."

"Well I think this is really a great place to enjoy simple Turkish food well done. The staff are attentive, caring and fun. The sharing mezzo is fabulous. Shish lamb and chicken plate generous and tasty. My wife loved her veggie salad with feta. An absolute highlight is the baklava and the Turkish coffee is a knockout. Really worth trying and the best I ever had even in Istanbul , just remember you only drink the top half!"

"The food was disappointing the crackling on the pork wasn't crispy, the batter on the fish was stodgy, the black pudding scotch egg didn't have any black pudding. This was a pity as the setting, service and ambiance would have warranted another visit. Unless the food improves we will not be coming again."

"Food very good BUT the whole experience was terrible as we were embarrassed by the horrendous service. Us and our friends have never had anything so bad! Bill was £250. I spoke to the owner the following week he offered us a complimentary meal for 4 people. I then asked via email what was included and now despite several other emails there has been no reply. I ended up asking for a refund but guess what no reply. I would never go there again as the service is awful and no further correspondence which is very rude."

"Eat is good. today for a Mexican Monday, ordered a burrito with a tee. I must say these meals are not filling this, and if they look for somewhere more food, I would not recommend this place. However, I recommend this place if they are looking for a fast bite and a drink."

"Sat with nave and mother in the law .had the sunday roast, which was absolutely beautiful. One of the best pub roasts we had for a long time. Beautiful friendly mens .and service was excellent. meat was tender and fresh veg. will go back and recommend."

"Excellent meal, if a little too much. Shortage of staff apparently but would not have known as young, efficient young man that served us, couldn't do enough. Would highly recommend Chandos. Never will I forget the many wonderful Sunday lunches we had that were delivered during the first lock down. They deserve to succeed!"
