"First time ordering a takeaway from here, and it wasn’t a good experience at all. Firstly, we were quoted a delivery time of 45 minutes, but I actually turned into twice as long. 1 1/2 hours! I asked for a vegetarian Jalfrezi, and my partner wanted a chicken dhansak, but when I finally turned up, it was a vegetable Jalfrezi and a vegetable dhansak. Fair to say that she wasn’t impressed with things that’s far. we also ordered onion bhajis, and they were very dry and greasy, giving the impression they have been in the fryer, a couple of times or more I was attracted to this place by all the positive reviews, but after our experience we will be using it again."

"We were on holiday in Devon and came across The Prince of Wales pub in Princetown. Nice attitude when I ordered a couple of drinks. We saw a couple of blokes eating and bigging up the food which looked really good. We decided to eat there and ordered Hunters chicken and a homemade beef pie. One word describes it all SUPERB. I 've never had such a wonderful, homemade pie. Completely stuffed full with meat and the gravy was to die for. As for the Hunters chicken, my wife thought it was brilliant. Thank you very much to ALL the staff for an excellent time. Miss this place at your peril !!!!!"

"After our recent visit to a Toby Carvery in Whitchurch that failed to please on many levels, it was wonderful to find out that good food and excellent service is available on our very doorstep. The dining room was packed, usually a good sign and...reinforced by the fact that everyone appeared happy and enjoying their food. We chatted to some friends and they all gave the food top marks for quality and quantity, delivered to your table, none of that queuing nonsense here... The menu offered a selection of starters (all at including Squid, Salmon fishcakes and Pate as options. The main (costing a choice of roast beef, Lamb or chicken served with roast and new potatoes and seasonal veg (four kinds) and cauliflower cheese as an additional side. Desserts were the old traditional stand-by selection of most gastropubs steamed sponge puddings with jam or syrup, apple pie or strawberry tart, a gateau, a cake (Chocolate Fudge), profiteroles and Ice cream. So what makes this place stand out? Well the food is good honest down to earth fayre which suits anyone with good taste. Secondly the staff. They are young, not that experienced, but they really stand out as they provide the kind of service the Big chain restaurants' can only dream of providing. It was lovely to see the place so busy; but then with staff and food this good it's bound to be popular!!"

"You need to book in advance, but afternoon tea here is as good as it gets. Lovely finger sandwiches and gorgeous bite-sized cakes. The cheesecake is superb. Quality and price is first class, and it is also available as a take-away, but again, book in advance."
