"The first experience of a meal in Brasov did not fill us with confidence but having picked this place from the reviews on TripAdvisor, we hoped for the best and were absolutely delighted! The young waiter (Danut was very friendly and amusing and gave us a table and left us with the menu.The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated and spacious with plenty of room between the tables. Tables have nice table linen and crockery, etc. He was back shortly for our drinks orders and then for the food orders. The food is freshly prepared to order, so there was a bit of a wait but when it arrived, it was excellent; the Butchers Stew I had was served in an earthenware pot with a pastry crust covering the most delicious stew of pork and vegetables and it was VERY hot! (The waiter had told me not to order any sides as I wouldn't need them and he was right it really filled me up! One of my friends had the rissotto which she said was outstanding. All the portions were generous and attractively presented. We managed to find room for the stuffed pancakes that seem to be a Romanian speciality and they were yummy! The waiter advised us that the portion was large so he suggested that we share it between two of us and there was certainly plenty for both! So with local beer and a few glasses of the local red wine, we had an excellent evening and so enjoyed it, that we were back again the following evening for another delicious meal!"

"“ Gaura dulce” or the sweet holl, maybe the sweatest in Brasov. One of the best choices if you want to try neo traditional romanian cuisine. I heard about them from my romanian friends, i tryed their diches in my holyday and the result was OUTSTANDING! If you arrive there and you don’t know what to choose ask about Joseph and he will guide you with his charm to make the best decision for a pleasing night."

"I'm spoiled perhaps but cannot help but compare the Chateaubrienn with Béarnaise for 2 with the same dish we enjoyed at El Gaucho in Portland Oregon very recently. Although done to perfection the Keller version was very chewy and had much less flavor. Ditto for the sauce. I can recommend neither.However, the goulash is very good as are the sautéed mushrooms. Not so for the mixed vegetable sauté of primarily green peppers and zucchini, skip that one. Service was impeccable."
