"Blokes arrived for lunch, all looking forward to an afternoon of good wine, good food and merriment. Friendly service at the bar for pre-luncheon refreshments and then to our table for selection of starters and mains with optional desserts. Very good variety on offer,...I selected the pork belly to start and followed with the charred sirloin of beef, both tasty and very enjoyable meals. Similar murmurings around the table from my companions enjoying a variety of dishes. Some decided to enjoy dessert, i enjoyed a cappuccino instead. Great wine selection from local wineries. Service was friendly and efficient throughout. Great views from the restaurant. Superb afternoon although we did let ourselves down somewhat in the jokes department."

"My friend and I came here after recommendations from our friends. As it was Tuesday, it was $3 tacos - we decided to try all four of them and whilst small in size they were all tasty and filling. We also enjoyed the happy hour specials ($10 cocktails etc). The only let down was the service - initially it was prompt but then it dropped off and they forgot one of our desert orders. It was a tad awkward watching my friend eat and enjoy her desert whilst I waited for them to make mine. Whilst there was an apology, there was no compensation for this (eg discount on the desert or free glass of wine etc)."

"We didn't have a booking, but there was space at around 7pm. We were directed to the lounge area where the tables are quite close together. I had a sirloin and partner had duck. The sirloin was quite nice and cane with veggies so I didn't have to order a side dish of veggies. Cost $39.50. The duck was I think about $36 but there wasn't much on the plate, although it did have veggies as well."

"What a lovely surprise a visit to this restaurant was. Wonderful wine and beer selection to enjoy in a really lovely setting. I understand they also do great cocktails but we didn't try, but table next to us were very impressed. Spacious and well presented restaurant. Extremely good tapas and great service. Extremely good value. A wonderful way to spend the evening."

"We had some small plates to share and found the food here so tasty!! and with big serves (had to take some home). Service was very friendly and couldn't do enough. This has become one of our favourite places."

"After collecting our takeaway, got home and discovered the medium rare steak was missing from the order. It appeared on the email order summary so it was definitely selected. It’s understandable that things go wrong but as we live 4km away I would have expected...them to have delivered a steak but the answer was no they wouldn’t. As a regular at the Rose I’m quite disappointed at the poor standards they are reflecting! Have supported your business since the revamp and this is the thanks in return! The rest of the food that we received was sub standard!"
