"Never had basque cuisine before so this was a bit irked a surprise to me. I wasn’t ready for a five course meal but it was nice. The pigs feet was interesting, I will say that, not a southern style soul food kind of preparation. My wife had steak which was more or less cooked decently but I thought it was a little overcooked. Anyways, a great place to go with the family atmosphere if you want a family dining experience. If you’re looking for just an entrée then I would go to a diner or someplace."

"We had a very nice first experienced in this place, even started to recommend it to friends if they happen to be in Carson and looking for a place to eat, we went back again because of that experienced, this time we were told to wait for 10 mins, we did wait in our car for more than 10 mins to give her enough time to set the table, after 10 mins we come in, no acknowledgement, 2 vacant tables, a couple tables looking at us, we stand at the door and wait, after a few mins she told us to give her a few mins we said ok, she continued doing her thing, didn’t let us sit at least, we were standing at the doorway for more than 10 mins. After a few more minutes of waiting we left, It was very awkward standing on the doorway when everybody is sitting, We understand she is alone and busy but at least acknowledged your costumers and sit them, don’t make your customer feel they’re inconveniencing you, make them feel welcome-that is customer service!"

"Let's go... Michaela the bartender... WOW!!! We ordered the Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Wisconsin Beer Cheese Soup and a French dip. The appetizer was amazing, great combination of flavors, perfectly balanced. The soup was boldly flavored, rich and creamy delicious! French Dip was also very good. There were some service problems, mostly timing and communication. But after a couple of conversations were resolved. Michaela (Barkeeper) made the night. She basically knocked out my socks. Michaela knows her things; she is friendly and very knowledgeable... Thank you for Michaela?? I had to go five full stars after everything was said and done because there are 2 stars on this show... Makayla and the cook. Decorative atmosphere is also quite amazing."

"PROFESSIONAL COURTEOUS DELICIOUS!!! NOTE: Thai Recipe's are 11am-3pm and 5pm-9pm. I walked in at 3:30... The ladies running this restaurant were amazing. I saw they open @5pm online, however the door was open and there were diners inside. So, I decided the internet was wrong and went on in. I was greeted right away, and shown to a table. I had not noticed that the door was discreetly shut behind me so that no one else waltzed in. When I heard someone outside attempt the door and fail, I decided to take a closer look at what it said online. About that time, my food was brought out to me. I ordered the chicken penang curry, level 3 of 5, and a Thai tea with coconut instead of dairy cream. When I apologized to the server for my mistake, I was told it's OK and they're happy that I was there. They made me feel like it was definitely OK, and I could sit and enjoy my meal without being too embarrassed. This restaurant is tucked in the corner of Incline Village, in a strip mall/restaurant row and the ambiance is very quiet and easy to have conversations with friends. The food, was amazing. I'd have to say this is likely the best penang curry I have had... Ever!!! The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars, there was something in the curry that I bit into that was an unexpected crunch, like a gristle piece. However, I feel this is a 1 off and would not stop me from ordering it again. Come to Tahoe and definitely stop here!!!"

"I love their kebabs, and the lamb shank, and esp. the double lamb burger. When I want something that's spicy and ethnic (esp. in Carson City), Saffron is where I go. Don't forget the baklava with saffron ice cream. It's quite delicious. It's really more 4.5 stars, but it doesn't allow you to click that. Service could be faster, but I'm OK with it as I like it when the staff leaves you alone to enjoy your meal. I highly recommend it if you don't mind the price."

"We enjoy The Union very much and stop in for dinner 2-3 times a month frequently asking friends and family to join us. We enjoy the menu and welcome the tweaks and changes to it as well. We especially enjoy it when Ken is our waiter. He has taken the time to remember us, our favorite foods and beverages and provides just the right amount of attention. I do have to note that frequently our food though very tasty and beautifully presented is served lukewarm with the exception of soup which is usually piping hot and delicious. Last Monday (Ken wasn't there) two of our guests sent their entrees back (spaghetti meatballs) as they were barely lukewarm and the restaurant seemed a bit shorthanded with some difficulty getting other items requested to the table. It was a Monday though a holiday and the restaurant was moderately busy. I hope this information is seen as helpful as it is not provided in a mean spirit. We appreciate all the good things The Union brings to the community."
