"My brother's family and my family had a wonderful meal on Saturday night. We were in a side room of this awesome Resteraunt. The atmosphere was private, comfortable and welcoming. The kids were not an issue.....especially when the food arrived! My 12 year old "gourmet" son - won't even look at the kids menu at Daniel's - loved the scollops....his "last meal" before he goes to high school....so he described it. As for the adults, not a thing is left on the plates. The prawn and salmon pancake can only be described as delicious. Never had anything like that before. The presentation was only exceeded by the taste. What an entree! I've never eaten sides on dishes that are so fresh. The rocket, beans and cucumbers for example taste as though Daniel has just picked them from his garden out the back as he prepared our meal. This sums up all the food. Fresh, tasty and made to please and enchant the tastebuds. We all left happy, having enjoyed the atmosphere and food provided by this gem of a resteraunt. We will be back!"

"The experience at this restaurant is not one I would recommend.Every dish we ordered had an excessive amount of sugar in it to the point we found it inedible.When we asked the waitress why the response was that was how the locals like it.One of our group commented maybe the cook has shares in CSR."

"Walked past this place while out for dinner. Could tell straight away it would be where I was going for my coffee the next morning (you can judge a cafe by its looks!). The coffee was fabulous - way better than I expected to find in Cessnock - and while I didn't get breakfast after seeing the menu I would have been happy to."

"I like the fact that this buffet charges by a child's age and we have a child 7 years hence $7 and a child 10 hence $10 They enjoy a meal plus some ice cream or other sweets.Two pictures attached. There is a modest selection of Asian options along with traditional roasts This place is no stand out but pretty good value and tasty foods.Drink prices also very reasonable.Hunter Valley Experience Tours Simon."

"Saturday night has live music which is a nice touch. If the bistro is full you can eat in the relaxed lounge area. Food was hearty and filling. The kitchen can give you a tax invoice but not the bar, which isn't good for business travellers justifying their expenses. Play roon for kids is good for families. Good amount of choices on the menu but nothing uber healthy. Good pub meal options. If under time constraints great option, what you expect is what you get"

"One of my favourite Chinese takeaways in Cessnock.I ordered a Combination Omelette and large fried rice $23.Lots of great ingredients in the omelette, beef in it was a bit chewy, a few large prawns included. Sauce was more watery than it has been in the past but still very tasty. Fried rice had quite a few prawns, nice change from most places where you basically just get the rice fried and not much else. Very nice tasting."
