"My family stopped here for lunch on our recent visit to Courtenay and I am very glad we did. The restaurant is very cute with a hippie vibe. It has natural wooden booths making you feel almost like you are in a forest. Good prices...with very nice staff. Cute patio area if it wasn't raining. I had the Yellow Submarine sandwich with gluten free rice bread. Vegan and gluten free. It was excellent, the best gluten free bread I have tasted. The restaurant makes in house and sells it if you preorder it. I wish I had known, I would have taken some home. The only thing I didn't like about the sandwich was that the olives were whole and not chopped up. One of my sons had the Chipotle Chicken sandwich and my other son had the Deli Rose. They were both happy with their choices. We all had Smoothies. One Berry Blast and 2 Pina Coladas. They were very good, but tasted like they had protein powder in them. My husband had the soup of the day and a hazelnut latte and was very happy with both. We all had cream cheese pie with strawberries for dessert and it was also excellent. We were very happy that we stopped here for lunch. Would come again if we are in the area."

"Food Review: 1X chicken and 1x beef/lamb. Essentially what you receive are two large ?taco? style pita wraps, in parchment paper and then wrapped in tinfoil. I think the biggest overall issue here stems right from the beginning: the style of delivery.There is no ?wrap? whatsoever, and all the ingredients and sauce constantly fall out of the top, front and back. The tomatoesand beef/lamb are cut much too large and the chicken and beef/lamb were underwhelming. The chicken is particularlydisappointing. When I think Greek chicken I think olive oil marinated chicken oozing with flavour, spice, and lemon.Unfortunately here we have dry, tasteless, pulled chicken. I don?t mean to be harsh or critical but this is very disappointingfood. Having moved here from Vancouver this town is missing a Shawarma place desperately but unfortunately Yummies Gyrosdoesn?t fit the bill. I recognize that this is Greek, and not Lebanese, Turkish, or Iranian, but at the end of the day, I justwant a good chicken wrap. I won?t be back"

"My husband and I stayed at the Westerly for three nights, and had the breakfast buffet on our second morning. It's pretty much what you expect from a hotel breakfast buffet. The room is nice and bright, and there are real tablecloths now, instead of the 'silence pads' ones that others had mentioned. There is a wide variety of food in the breakfast buffet, everything from cold cereal, to bacon/sausage/eggs, and of course the standard waffle making machine. (I do have to say, though. those chicken sausages are awful!) The coffee was good, the service was nice and friendly, and it was nice to have a quick hearty breakfast right there in the hotel."

"Came here with the kids on an afternoon. They do not have kids menu but the servers are friendly and took away the glasses for us. We ordered the bisque to share. It was smooth and creamy shellfish soup. My preference is to be able to eat the ingredients so wasn't too big a fan of this soup even though it taste ok. We then had the fried oyster with chips which is the daily special. This was delicious. Fresh oysters were good size and the chips were the right crisp. Both my husband and I gave it a thumbs up. Our last dish is the seafood linguine. It has a variety of seafood so Is a good sampler of the scallops, shrimps, and mussels. Pasta was creamy and scallops were good size. Seems like the lunch menu is a cheaper alternative than the dinner menu. Prices are ok as you are paying for seafood."
