"I am bias, because I love Eritrean food, so I have to give this restaurant a big thumbs up! The food was very yummy, prices decent (about EUR 7.50 for a main and 2.50-3 for dessert), and therefore the sizes also perfect to satisfy you without feeling stuffed. Super friendly staff and very accommodating for vegans. Also a very nice atmosphere."

"Went there on a Saturday night. Nice weather so everyone was outside. Inside was totally empty. This place runs on Greek time so everything was slow. Wait to get menus, drinks, food, bill, pay...food was nothing special. Had better in the smallest German towns. Mostly over cooked and without much pride. Also they don’t do family platters for four which is weird."

"I have been there 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Do not know all the restaurants in Darmstadt yet but and each time it was perfect. They have a lot of great wine to choose from. The service is always great. They speak English and French to help you out with the German menu and always suggest things out of the menu. Chanterelles season, they surely suggest this to you in any kind you fancy (pasta, salad, Fried in a pan etc.) you should try their assortment of small starters to chose from ( the fish soup is great and their croustade). The lamb is excellent and tried the Daube tonight, simply great)"

"I had a pleasant evening in this restaurant. In the summer it is even better, because there is open garden for those shisha lovers... Food is amazing. In my opinion the restaurant is underrated, maybe because of bad location. I will return for sure."

"I'm a big believer in the principle Follow the locals. They know where to eat And this restaurant is one of the reasons why. I have learned to avoid the Bella Sardegna before PM, or even PM. I am usually visiting as a...single, but won't get a table anyways, because there are so many visitors. But waiting for the right time is just fine, if you know what to do. My all time fevourite meal was meat in Marsala sauce: Ever since, I have attempted to copy this recipe, without even getting close to that Marsala sauce. Also very recommendable: Spaghetti, which are being turned in a big chunk of parmesan cheese at the table. A festival to look at."
