"Ordered the buffet menu for the Saturday night family tea. Starters were like cardboard really tasteless an barely warm same as the chips. All 4 currys were bland an barely warm the pieces of chicken were also small. Garlic nan was tasteless. Wouldn't recommend this place unless you have no other choice. The curry out of a jar has more taste . Won't be back."

"For 5 stars, you've got to be Michelin. This was a very pleasant meal Madras Marsale Dosa interesting and tasty, the Haggis Pokora was fabulous. Mains of Special Biriyani and Lamb Saag were authentic and very good. Certainly worth another visit."

"We visited Broughty Ferry eight years ago and had a lunch at the Bruach, it persuaded us to move to the area because of the many good restaurants and shops. Bruach has been taken over by the owners of the Barrelman in Dundee and we decided to lunch here after having several good experiences there. Good menu but the fish is usually good in this area so we both had haddock, fish tasted very fresh with good batter, chips and bit greasy, tartar sauce very good and plentiful too, mushy peas a bit dried out. Fish supplied by Perth company not Arbroath but fish was very good. Quality suppliers seem to be used, meat suppliers are Scott’s which we use all the time because of the quality. Good choices on menu, you will get something to your liking. Good wine list at reasonable prices Staff good and very helpful Popular with families at lunch time so quite busy downstairs, we got the last table downstairs but if it had been occupied we would have been dining probably alone upstairs which rather spoils the dining experience."

"Great Meal at Balaka Dundee. Amazing food and attentive staff. I decided to go there after reading a favourable review in an inflight magazine. Would strongly recommend a meal there for anyone. Apparently te restaurant has been running for plus years, and I can understand why !"

"I had forgotten how good French cuisine could be. This café restaurant came recommended by a local cabbie – and we all know that taxi drivers are never wrong. I had a superb lunch – and the house red is a lasting memory."
