"We went to Macleay St Bistro in Potts Point on Sunday. Great food, charming service from its long-standing resident head waiter and maitre de, Stefano and nothing is too much trouble. We requested a couple of small changes to the dishes and these were done with no fuss at all. Make sure you ask for Stefano. Service with a smile and delicious, tasty meals."

"Had lunch there. Place was busy. Nice ambience and buzz in spite of the noise. Not a true Japanese but I like their take on the food. Pork buns were great. Buns were soft and filling tasty. great fresh raw fish. Kingfish. The wagyu beef was cooked perfectly. Brown rice was interesting. Steamed fish was also good. Like their fusion take on some of the dishes. Enjoyable afternoon. Service was good. professional and not intrusive. Would come back again"

"Whenever I have friends come to town I take them to Bistro Rex. During a recent spell in hospital we ordered dinner and as per usual they went out of there way to make the meal so special, sending there steak knives linen napkins and sweet treats."

"Caffe Acqua Elizabeth. My hubby and I (and family/friends) go to Caffe Acqua probably a few times a year. We have always found the service to be very fast and the staff are always friendly. (One guy there used to make you feel a bit uncomfortable with his jokes but he seems to have toned it down a bit lol). <br/>Everything I have tried has been quite nice, although the pasta and rissottos can be inconsistent.<br/>I had a pizza there for the first time on the weekend and I wish I had tried one earlier, it was delicious. Very fresh and plenty of topping without being too much!<br/>Overall this is one of the better places to eat out in the Elizabeth area, the only let down for me is the acoustics the noise of the chair scraping around on that horrible floor can be really awful when it is busy!"

"Wonderful, authentic neighbourhood Italian restaurant. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the friendly staff. If you are sick of generic Merivale offerings, support local and want something classic and done well then this is the place for you. Thank you Antonio and team we will be back!"

"Food was absolutely delicious. I loved my salmon salad - and boy was that salmon so fantastically cooked. The fact that the salad was super substantial made the price worth it. The eggplant side we ordered was tasty and smokey and tangy all at the same time, and I most definitely recommend it! The chicken cacciatore, in my opinion, lacked a touch of seasoning, but otherwise everything was just great. Another popular favorite was the duck. The place was certainly very warm, considering we had our coats off in the middle of a bad sydney winter storm, but I think the place was very dimly lit. Furthermore it was so incredibly loud! We struggled to even get the waiter to hear our voices. It did quiten down eventually, but it was still a little frustrating. The drinks were also great, with a fun range to choose from :) Service overall was helpful and nice, and everything was bought out in a reasonable amount of time. This is a great place with a wonderful vibe for something like a fun dinner with friends, or even a fun date night.
