"Visiting the UK from Boston, we ate here tonight and were extremely impressed. We came here after having tried several other restaurants in the area. The Bell served delicious, well prepared, locally sourced food in a lovely setting. We shared a starter special of smoked salmon and greens and capers. The greens and salmon were fresh, the portions generous and the mustard caper sauce delicious. My husband had the lamb special--a stew like dish, which was served with a mashed potato side dish and sautéed cabbage. He loved it! He was surprised to get such flavorful accompaniments with the excellent lamb. I had a fish cake made with haddock and chorizo. I loved that it was piping hot and very tasty--not greasy or bland. We both had an apple toffee pudding for dessert, which was also delicious. Service was nice, hope more people will check out this place! Please notice earlier reviews are from 5 plus years ago."

"We booked the Mason’s Arms as we were staying locally. On arrival, the bar staff, Mia in particular, was very welcoming and helpful. The bar was quiet so we had a choice of table. We ordered our food and they were very accommodating as my daughter wanted something a little different to what was on the children’s menu. We sat down with our drinks and our starters arrived in good time. The waiter was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent… halloumi and garlic bread! Tables cleared and we were asked if we were ready for our mains…. We were but similarly we knew we could have delayed if we needed to! Our food arrived and it was beautiful. Great portion sizes and tasted fab! Chicken and ham pie was lovely and my eldest daughter’s gammon was huge! Chips were immense as were the chicken nuggets. Such a great evening in a relaxed, family friendly, well-priced pub. So great in fact …. We returned the next evening, were remembered, welcomed and asked if we’d had a lovely day! What more can you ask for! Highly recommended!"

"We were here for the business in the frame of the premier inn deal and it was our first visit in a beefeater and that was great, but what made it even better was our waitress amy (with glasses) she was exceptional and a brilliant example for the company that was sure we were well looked after. for what I imagine is probably a minimum wage or (living reward) job she really went the extra mile. Unfortunately there was another woman at the bar that was also brilliant, but we did not have her name, she had blonde curly hair and she was friendly and very informative on the opposite. the employees in this branch are a credit to their company."

"Not a single dish had a traditional Indian flavour. The main waiter Owner always seems to be in a very rushed manner and loud and rude, and not taking his time. Please save yourselves a dissapointing experience if you like indian food as you won't get it at Jays Kitchen. I feel my money was wasted and would never go back here. "Genuinely amazing culinary experience. we were in religious 5 years and had not reviewed this local restaurant. I can honestly say that eating, the atmosphere and the service we are all incredible. a little birthday hunt for me and a buddy and a few kumpels. from the moment we started, we felt welcome and the cozy atmosphere added to the exquisite culinary experience. unpredictable, comfortable, tasty. not the cheapest eatery, but worth every penny!"

"Food drinks: Had a delightful lunch in this exquisite 350 year old coaching Inn. We 're veggie so used to indifferent 'veggie options '...thankfully not at the Talbot, lovely staff too. Recommended Noteworthy details: The Talbot Inn is located in Mells, one of the prettiest villages in Somerset. This Inn fits perfectly into this romantic and beautiful area. Have not stayed over (live in the next village) but this would be a choice if not on our doorstep. Service: 5 Location: 5"
