"Reasonable house wine, kind enough staff and a decent position on the river. I've been told it gets busy, but personally I haven't seen it so, but i've only really used it as a pre-meal spot. Quite a summer-y interior and a good area outside, nice for summer Sunday afternoon drinks I bet."

"We (middle aged couple with middle aged Border Terrier) have stayed here on 2 seperate occasions for several days on each occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed both holidays. Comfy and informal. The Tontine is genuinely dog friendly keeping the dog's food in fridge etc Is the Tontine a 5* luxury hotel? Of course not! It is still a proper pub and perfect 3* accommodation, wonderfully situated and with friendly staff. TV kettle tea/coffee sachets bathroom clean and adequate clean towels beds not as classy as Premier Inn etc but comfortable Food at Tontine usual fayre but plenty of places to eat in area. However Sunday lunch fine! We will certainly return."
