"Very nice made meat, good friendly service. However, I tried the sea bass that was not exceptional, we had much better fishing than this in other Turkish restaurants. but mixed kebab was really good."

"Relocated to abbey and ordered by new raj mahal. the order was simply on their own website. delivery really fast, really delicious and everything was spot on. good work. highly recommended. can't wait until the next time! Chicken pathia is super btw. sweet, sour and medium. so good."

"Not sure if this should get 4 or 5 stars. It depends on what your perception is and what you are comparing it with. It's a bit like walking into a time warp, 30 40 years ago. A good old fashioned proper pub. A good selection of beers and other drinks. There is a restaurant area as well as two bars. The food is superb. Good variety on the menu, large portions and everything tastes great. All this at sensible prices with lovely service from smiling staff. Outside there is a large carpark with easy access from the road. All definatly worth a visit."

"Found the place by accident, by simply taking a walk on the seafront and looked good so just popped in. Staff brilliant, so friendly and welcoming. Great food and choice of drinks and cocktails. Well done!!"

"We went to Wherry yesterday than in the area, as Happy Cow reviews recommended and there is little else to choose from here. We asked ourselves at the bar and the staff went helpful to ask in the kitchen about vegan options. We have been offered a veggie tart or vegan burger/patty and we have opted for the veggie tart. We waited for a table for 15 minutes and spent another 15 minutes waiting at Carvery. When we arrived to our veggie tart from the carvery we said they ordered the burger for us because THE VEGGIE TART MILK IN THE PASTRY. I know it was recommended here, so I wanted to warn someone that the only vegan option is the burger that comes with a vegan gravy. The Veg was beautiful (just avoid the mashing of both carrot and potato Yorkshire puddings, and the Gravy they offer a vegan) and the burger was more like a small piece of nut dust. You have a nut leaf containing egg so make sure you ask for the vegan burger. It was quite depressing that you had to run slowly past the meat in the cave, as the queue was very long and slow, but it was Sunday and the place is very popular with meat eaters. There are no dessert options apart from simple fruit salad. I thought £10.95 for a small burger and some vegetables with Gravy was quite much to pay as we were charged the standard carvery price. I feel that vegans never have priority in such a place. If you are in the area and short on options, you shouldn't make any effort to spend a long time near to large amounts of meat, and are happy to have just one option to choose, this is the place to go. We probably wouldn't go back soon."

"I do not have a bad word to say about this restaurant. The food was delicious. The service was absolutely amazing, i felt as if I had known them for years!! So welcoming attentive, nothing was too much trouble. I had my daughter with me who is a fussy eater only wanted rice poppadom so they kindly brought over a complimentary platter of mild flavoured food options for her to try with our mains. Such a thoughtful gesture. I would highly recommend this restaurant we hope to visit more regularly in the future."

"This is easily, for me, the BEST place to eat in lowestoft. Ok it's not that hard as there are very few options these days but I have never been disappointed when eating at this place. Booking a table in the restaurant is your best option however decent pub grub is available if your unable to book. There are daily specials up on the board which are always worth a punt and the kitchen are flexible, constructing whatever you like ad long as they have the ingredients. The service has always been top notch very polite, accommodating and friendly. The food itself is obviously cooked with care, compassion and love and it shines through starting with the quality of the ingredients, moving into the perfect way ot is cooked and the brilliant flavours it produces when eaten. It is one of the more pricier restaurants in lowestoft but again that's being compared to wetherspoons, spring tide and Hatfield eateries to name a few. I would choose this place to eat over any of those or others I have failed to mention. I enjoyed all the food I have eaten at this place and always left feeling satisfied, pleased and definitely wanting to return. I hope they carry on providing the service and products I have become used to in my short stay so far in this town."
