"Spent a sunny Sunday afternoon here with friends over from Australia. Lovely spot, with nice food and very nice wine. We managed to get a table outside and were well looked after by the staff. As an added bonus we got a free wine tasting with our lunch.<br/>Antipasto platter was delicious, pasta was okay but the pizza is awesome.<br/>Its a fair distance out on the island but worth the trip."

"We hiked the Whakanewha Regional Park and stopped off at the Bach along the way. We ordered a high tea each, which included a glass of Rosé.<br/ The high tea consisted of a selection of dips, chutneys and hummus, breads, crackers, olives, cheese, nuts, chicken pie, salmon, meatloaf, slaw salad and a pavlova.<br/ The chicken pie was delicious and how a pie should taste. The pastry was flakey and not overcooked. The filling was equally as delicious and worked so well. The salmon tasted was cooked to perfection, it wasn't over cooked or undercooked it was just right. We also really appreciated the care and thought put into the pavlova, the sweet rhubarb on top added a pleasant twist to our kiwi classic. The ratios of everything was perfect and accompanied the creme and the meringue perfectly.<br/ This was Sunday afternoon at approx 4pm please give our thank you to the chef on duty.<br/"

"Very good experience here in Vino Vino. A little hidden gem in the main part of town. Food was excellent. We ordered a mixed selection of plates to try out. All exceed our expectations. Beautiful relaxing setting with views to the ocean. Clean and spacious yet homely feel all round. Very reasonable price. Definitely a place to come back to if we are on Waiheke again."

"Wai Kitchen is damn average sis. Been here twice and had pretty good food and service. The first time I went I got an iced mocha and it wasn't the best but it wasn't bad so just average. For food I got like avocado on toast that came with eggs and bacon (not on the menu so i don't know the name) and it was average like you can't really mess it up so I guess it was good and fresh. The second time I went I asked for an iced mocha and i'm pretty positive they gave me an iced coffee because it was super strong and bitter and defiently different than the first time I went. The service is alright not really friendly just doing there job not interested in how our food was or anything but that's okay. The view and where the cafe is is super nice, looks out over Little Oneroa and it's a perfect place to go in summer. If you're in Waiheke I do recommend. x"

"I’m so glad there is a Sri Lankan takeaway on our island so I can keep Sri Lanka close to me : Food made with smile and love! So many different dishes that rotate throughout the week! "We dined here for a special celebration over the weekend just been.<br/ <br/ I'd like to start off with mentioning just how amazing the service and staff were.<br/ There was one waiter in particular who came on at about 2pm. A young french man if I recall, who knew all about the menu and wines to recommend with each dish. Ensuring we were fine throughout the afternoon. His service in particular was outstanding. Thank you.<br/ <br/ The food ofcourse was amazing. All 13 of us were very impressed with the wonderful presentation of each meal and of course our table was silent for a good 20 minutes while each of us took our taste buds on a delicious journey.<br/ <br/ I had the Te Matuku oysters which were creamy and full of flavour. Natural ofcourse, accompanied with the shallot vinegar and lemon. Simple and clean presentation.<br/ <br/ The squid ink risotto was a new experience, yet one I throughly enjoyed and would recommend. Dont let the black ink put you off this interesting dish as it really oozed a lovely delicate flavour and the octopus, was great.<br/ <br/"

"Saturday lunch. Our first time here. Unfortunately time was short so we didn't get to indulge fully. My SO shared the beetroot salad and lamb shoulder with a friend. I had The Leigh fish which came with smoked pork cheek and oysters. Just perfectly delicious. We shared a carafe of Te Motu 2004 red. Marvellous accompaniment. <br/>Worthy of a much longer repeat visit me-thinks."

"Went here at the recommendation of a lovely couple we met while in the island and my sister had recommended more than once so we finally went. We just sorry we hadn't been here on previous visits to Waiheke. We had the degustation style tastings the hostess informed us well about the wine which was easy to drink and the accompanying food tastings were delectable and a teaser of what was to come with our main meal. We all enjoyed our main as well. I highly recommend Peacock Sky we were also fortunate to meet Connie the owner /and chef where we were able to enjoy her rice pudding and fruit dessert as well as fried lemon peel. The service was fantastic. Great day out thanks to the hospitable Peacock Sky.Also try the limencello and take a bottle home."
