"My family and I were going through town and stopped here. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. 3 of us had the lamb shawarma box and one person had the chicken shawarma wrap. Alll sooo good. We also had falafel and baklava!"

"A small well prepared menu, appealing to all tastes. The chef knows his clientele. We were guests of a long time member and we enjoyed the quiet surroundings while we dined. Steaks were done to order with fresh vegetables as was the chicken and seafood."

"I just arrived in Medicine Hat for a long work stay, and this was my first stop on my restaurant hunt, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere and decor is lovely, not too high end, but warm and inviting. I sat in the lounge...as I was solo dining and it was just as nice in there. The service was attentive and friendly, you can tell the manager (sandy? is a favourite and makes everyone feel at home. I had the Alberta sirloin entree-medium rare. The steak was cooked closer to rare with a cooler red centre, but I prefer it that way anyways. The sun-dried tomato herb butter on top was to die for. The potatoes were so cheesy and delicious as well. I recommend the gold Cadillac margarita if you’re looking for a good cocktail as well. Lots of friendly people and a fun local dining experience, I’ll be back for sure!"

"Used to be a great place to eat. Now the food is comparable to a run down truck stop. Not sure which is worse , the tasteless garbage coming out of the kitchen or the awkward manager trying to make small talk. A shame really as it was always our plan b place to go. Now I wouldn't eat there if it was free."

"I hadn't been back to Twist in several years due to poor service, but friends persuaded me to go. Service was good, food tasted fine - portions were pathetic! Spinach & Goat Cheese salad hardly covered the bottom of my plate, with 1 strawberry cut in quarters. Friends had the fruit, cheese & cracker platter - very few crackers, small bits of cheese and grapes CUT IN HALF! Wine was good - beer was warm and I had to ask for a glass."

"Food was amazing but it was incredibly busy and we waited and waited to have or order taken, drinks brought to us etc. Was worth it though just don’t go expecting it to be quick!"

"I am afraid I have to compare with the Mango Tree as its the only other Indian Restaurant I have been to. The food at the spice hut is OK, not spectacular just OK. Very clean and average to below average service (waitress was in the kitchen fixing her hair for nearly ten minutes while we waited to order), however I felt cheated when rice was $2.00 extra as was the Naan bread, the prices were also higher than the Mango Tree by about $2.00 per entree. so instead of a $25.00 bill for 2 it was $35.00 and the meal was no better ( actually not as good) So all in all an OK meal but the Mango Tree still sets the standard. Probably wont return."

"Eating and service was before place we ordered dal makhni, methi wiper, madrashun. Methi distributor was the winner. we also enjoyed other dishes. also loved her garlic naan. If they want Indian food, they have to come here."
